First deviation of 2008!
I felt Maria has been neglected, so I conjured up a little portrait pic- for the simple reason that I seem a LOT better at portraits than full-body pics. I don't know why, must be something about the scale... *mutter mutter*
As always, please full-view; the thumbnail doesn't do it much justice.

She's beautiful! I love the whole composition. The tonal changes within the hair is gorgeous, it makes it appear as if its glowing. The eyes are soo purrdy too.

I see improvement in every picture you've uploaded so far! It's tough to notice your own evolution at times, but it's there. I'm seeing lots more balance and much smoother coloring from you these days, so I encourage you to continue!

The way you draw eyes is extremely striking to me. That's what I always notice the most, no matter who you're actually drawing. It's a bit unsettling, but not in any kind of a bad way, the eyes are just rather piercing. It adds quite a bit of intensity.
... and they always manage to do that creepy following thing, but that makes it all the better

Hahahaha, so I did it again with the creepy following eyes? Score. No, really, I love drawing eyes. I always start with them, and colour them last- I like to make them look as glassy and bright as possible, but I could still improve. By a long shot.
