Description Bought two more geckos, I won't get a new one for the next time. The tank is actually big
enough for five of them but still, I don't want to ham up. They get along pretty good since
they're all female, but unfortunately I still need names... for all of them. I'd be glad if you
could suggest some for them :')

Yes the misspelling was intended~

Very curious, where do you buy your reptiles from?Β

From a local reptile/exotics shop, the guy has over 30 years of experience and is the biggest store in my state I think

Aw darn that sucks, but I heard this happens often; sick snakes being sold?

Yeah- it’s from the spread of worms from the birds called OMPV (He was skinny with a retained eye cap when we got him, but he was my first snake so I didn’t really know. Ball pythons are picky too so I just didn’t know how sickly he was until he got the upper respiratory- then his anorexia got worse, his belly bloated and bruised, and he had neurological signs the last two days worse than any spider ball python I’ve seen)

Oh no, that's terrible! Spider morphs are known for having health problems right? Or was it bumblebee?

Anything WITH the spider gene will have a health issue but some live happy lives. But he was a Banana morph, so it was his disease that caused it. Sometimes snakes get IBD or neurological disorders from viruses, other snakes, or from vitamin deficiencyΒ

I love that they come in so many unique colors and patterns!
My older sister got 2 of my geckos for free because I guess they were getting pass their ''baby'' look and the pet store wouldn't keep them for much longer. So my sister rescued them and gave them to me. She told me they were going to throw them out! I hope that wasn't the case! They were pretty young when I got them. My oldest gecko is (I believe) over 10 years old! So yah she's a grandma lol. I worry for her cause I feel her time is coming to an end. She's pretty active though so that's a good sign! ^^
I had a 4th gecko a few years ago, but he sadly died without any reason why. So I was happy my sister found two more geckos to help keep her company!

Awe, it's sad that they just wanted to "throw away" the geckos,
glad your sister came before that happened!

That's pretty cruel if they do throw them out! My dad won't let me keep another one because they're tank isn't big enough for three! I hope to someday upgrade my tank!
Your tank for them looks pretty neat!

Thanks, even bought a wetbox for them and they love it! They're usually
all in there, even thought there's no space for three and the cave is empty :')

How cute! All except for one, hang out in their houses all day until night time! I got them bigger houses because they'd all try to shove themselves in a tiny house suitable for one! x3

Toxical-Toon In reply to Flickering-Flames [2017-06-22 16:22:17 +0000 UTC]

Same problem here, they've got two big hiding spots and two
smaller ones, yet they all shove themselves into one! These
silly things x3
