At least he got taken down by some of the heaviest hitters with upgraded magic God-killer armor. Knull got tossed in a furnace like a Home Alone skit. A freaking fire place and some plus grenades were all they needed to end to celestial butcher

Indeed he did, which is why I found the fight with Eddy to be so underwhelming. Even if it wasn't the actual Knull, it was just a bad way to set up a villain in their defeat.

I have to agree. The only way I can excuse that in any way is because that was just the Grendel symbiote that Knull was controlling billions of light-years away like a puppet rather than Knull himself, much like how Darkseid uses avatars without he himself actually fighting. Hopefully the new storyline with Carnage leading the Void cult will give the writers another chance at Knull's defeat, especially given that a boatload of powerhouse characters who at some point bonded with symbiotes other than just Venom will surely be involved.
