I found a really good step-by-step artist-tip photoset on Tumblr showing how to make forest scenes. So I tried out the same technique.Of course theirs was magnificently beautiful and mine is just blah, but hey, I worked only two hours on it and it was my first time doing something like this. Hopefully if I continue to practice with this, I can one day become as talented as them.

Woah it looks really good! I feel as if I was in that forest.
From the thumbnail it looked a lot like a photo, so I agree when you said that if you practice (or spend more time on a single picture) it'll look much better.
Now let me spend some more minutes mindblown.
