AND NOW for a much more RECENT picture of a couple of characters from my “Danny Gomez Does drugs on the Weekends” pictures I posted a week or so ago, when I initially laid out the main characters and their respective hallucinations.
I had one spare piece of bristol board and chose to do the first color picture of Patricia and Sweetwater since their relationship as creator and creation is so amusing to me.
The ones I posted were just laying around and pretty old style and design wise. This one almost served as a more recent "update" and tweaking of Sweetwater's overall look when I had a much better idea of what direction to go in.
Yes Sweetwater’s stomach is a ball pit. Yes it’s safe/sanitary (unlike the ones in real life).

Oh, I like the design evolution. Sweetwater looks much friendlier and cuddlier and much less Big Daddy Roth Drooling Lunatic, and I think that works better for the way you described her as the distillation of all the childhood FUN Patricia never got.
