Description
"Danny lives in a ratty apartment in Phoenix, Arizona with his roommate Peter. He and Peter buy marijuana to do recreationaly, but when their dealer frantically stashes a new drug called “99” with them, they decide to secretly take it and discover it brings the creatures of their bizarre hallucinations to life: permanently.”
The is the third and final one in a series of three pictures of concept work from my “Danny Gomez Does Drugs on the Weekends” story idea. (They're from 2013 so they're a little old!)
Patricia Washington (front) and Sweetwater (behind) who embodies all the the childhood indulgences Patricia never got to experience when she was forced to grow up fast and have too many responsibilities (yes her stomach is a ball pit).

The balloons as back spikes are killer. Or maybe less killer, and more rubbery
I like the childishness of Sweetwaters design, but considering what she embodies, its odd to see such a menacing edge to her design.

Yeah I gotta admit when I first did this one I was lacking some of the references that I wanted to use for them so I just winged it 100% without them and my imagination kinda failed a bit as several people kinda picked up on the "rough" look and feel of her. It's interesting how people pick up on minute things like that, that I notice too but kinda go forward with anyway!

Unfortunately in the story only a tiny amount survives the destruction of the factory where it's being made (along with the lone person who discovered how to make it) so it all get's used up in the story pretty fast.
