Thanks! One of the professors I know was notorious for saying that when you have black objects over black objects and you outline them because your afraid folks won't know what's going on, your insulting your readers. That the human eye is smarter than artists give it credit for.
So I try to follow that advice and only in certain situations do I use the outline anymore. Straight blacks give a more graphic designy feel.

It was just an illustration idea I had. I honestly had a story I typed a while ago and one of the antagonists ate souls, I guess this could be her newer incarnation. Who knows.
