Weeeell, I think it's a matter of those 'not outright admitted' relationships. There's the tension and returned feelings, but they keep it under wraps and especially from public eye. More of a spiritual thing than a physical, if you get what I mean. The official canon Clone Wars books have plenty of Rex+Ahsoka moments that hint of something little more than a strong friendship. c:

Yus, the ones I've read by Karen Traviss are both very good. Each chapter is written from a different point of view; usually Anakin/Rex plus villains/supporting characters.
The books are "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "No Prisoners (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)", both by Karen Traviss. :>

No. :< In my head he keeps his short trimmed hair (isn't fully bald) and shaves his face.Β His outfit in Rebels is okay-ish, but I like to think that he'd come across some mandalorian gear and mixed it with bits and pieces of his old armour. :> But that's just me. I might grow to like his design more when I see it in action. ^^
