Description
Mereclan was once part of a much bigger, more prosperous clan until a dog attack which tore the clan apart, along with most of the members. These are some of the cats that survived, plus a few loners they recruited.

Alright. Now some story to each character!

SkipperStar got his leader name after the attack, when they moved territories. He's a stressed out cat, and misses his old clan. He's 55 moons old, but looks much older. He's SpiderFace's mate, but can't really show affection to her or their young kit due to the amount of pressure he's under. They have a strained relationship. He's a good cat, not a great dad, and a horrible leader.

FallowBriar, despite her name, is very battle ready and aggressive due to the dog attack. She often vents to SkipperStar or BurnetLeg, where she shows the very fragile side of herself. She lost her apprentice in the attack, so SkipperStar gave her Sootpaw to try and cheer her up. FallowBriar doesn't think she's ready to be a mentor again.

BurnetLeg is very close with his family and likes his job as a medicine cat, but has managed to balance those two aspects of his life in order to be with his children and mate. He wants to be a father to Sootpaw as well, but she doesn't seem to want to associate with him or her half-siblings so he keeps his distance, wanting her to be ready.

RavenThroat and NightFlower were basically the creepy child next door, except there's two of them and they're siblings. Now they're still like that but tone down the creepiness to slightly strange in order to be on good terms with everyone. They're extremely loyal to eachother, and also love their cousin, CootCloud. Both Blackpaw and Shadowpaw have bonded with them, and have started to take after them in various ways.

CootCloud is a sweet cat, who tries to look out for everyone. After her mate died in the dog attack, along with two of her kits, she's been very protective of Shadowpaw and Blackpaw. She still, luckily, has her own sense of boundaries to keep her anxiety in check to not be too overbearing. She doesn't like Sootpaw that much since she bullies her children, but she hopes that she'll grow out of it at some point.

CanterelleThroat was a former loner who joined to get away from her abusive mate. Her mate was emotionally abusive and alienated her child from her, resulting in Sootpaw not understanding why they split up, as she was always treated well by her father. She's managed to move on with BurnetLeg and is excited to raise her new kits, but wants Sootpaw to be part of their lives as well. She seems to hate them along with BurnetLeg, and ChanterelleThroat fears Sootpaw is starting to hate her as well.

SpiderFace was also a former loner! She joined mostly for fun, and wanted to have some company. SkipperStar clearly loved her, and she played along for popularity, as she was worried about not being accepted by the others. When she had her kit and more cats started to join, SkipperStar became busy and the two spent less time together. Neither SpiderFace or SkipperStar love each other now, and she's very content with breaking things off when Skipper is ready. She adores Elmkit, and shelters him a little too much. She's willing to let SkipperStar into his life when he has his life under a bit more control and she knows he'll stick around.

Sootpaw is a bit of an angry child. She's 8 moons old, and has barely anyone she wants to be close with. This is due to feeling betrayed by her parents when they "separated", and even more betrayed when her mother became BurnetLeg's mate and had kits with him. She believes ChanterelleThroat is trying to replace her, and so resents both BurnetLeg and her half-siblings. She takes most of her anger out on Blackpaw and Shadowpaw, since their also very young and their mother loving them reminds her of the love she thought she didn't have for herself. Her mentor, FallowBriar, neglects her training, leaving her more bitter and abandoned.

Shadowpaw is 6 moons old, along with her brother. She is still fawned over by CootCloud but she's not annoyed by it at all! She likes the attention her clanmates give her, and wants to be friends with everyone. She just can't understand why Sootpaw hates her so much, no matter how patient she is. That patience is wearing thin, though, and the fights she has with the older apprentice have started to get noticeably less verbal and noticeably more physical. She's very close with her relatives NightFlower and RavenThroat, and learned to be extremely loyal to her brother from her time with them. They've grown even closer due to all of them being bullied in their childhood.

Blackpaw is more quiet than his sister, and doesn't speak to many people outside his family. This worried CootCloud a little when he was very young, who tried to get him to interact with other cats he didn't know, but luckily RavenThroat and NightFlower sided with him when he protested. Since then, he's grown closer with his mother, who has learned not to push him into the spotlight. He's one of Sootpaw's targets, but often doesn't fight back and instead tries to do small favours for her to hopefully keep the peace. Shadowpaw tells him it's not worth it, but Blackpaw believes he's really making progress!

LionNose and GorseStripe were some of the only elders to escape the dogs. When they were still in the old clan, they raised ChanterelleThroat together due to her father running off, not wanting kits. The two bonded taking care of her, and fell in love moons later. LionNose often tells stories to Blackpaw and Elmkit, and GorseStripe has to repeatedly (and impatiently) remind her to get back on track when LionNose begins to ramble. Gorse doesn't hate Lion talking (she actually really loves it), she just wants to spare the children XD
