Description
At last, it's finally finishedYup, this is it, the project that I have been working on since February this year and now, after 8 months, it's finally complete
The project's main theme was to revive Maserati's famous mid-engined sports supercar, the Merak, which actually had a Citroen engine
Now that they are targeting more "NEW MASERATI" buyers by releasing less costly cars, such as the Kubang SUV and the Ghibli sedan, I certainly think the Italian supercar
manufacturer would be able to improve their brand image by revivng a classic from the past.
So please comment and tell me what you guys think about it, Thank you !

The rear section reminds meΒ the Bugatti Veyron a bit.
Dude...that's mothafuckin' AWESOME!
Considering it's 2020...the current 3.0 V6 and 3.8 V8 used by the Quattroporte will already be a bit "old" in 7 years, so...an improved version or a totally new powerplant? Possibly a hybrid? Using new batteries that could increase range greatly... And while it could run on fully electric mode, normal one uses the internal combustion engine far more.
Does 500-650 hp sound good enough?

500 650 bhp? that's "WAY" too much, unless if this actually gets built and they make a Corsa or an MC6 Sport Version of my Merak, than maybe, perhaps, but the one I've drawn is the standard Merak/Merak S model so around 340-380 bhp would be good enough
But, like he RUF RK coupe from Wangan Midnight games, with 650 bhp on tap, my ride could be faster than an Enzo, and thanks:

Well...
The Merak's purpose is to compete with some epic sport cars, so...yeah, 500-650 hp would be, like...the "bad motherfucker" version to kick some GTs' asses, like 911 Turbo/GT2...Ferrari 458 and their successor...

man i wish they actually brought back the 1930s styled cars, but, with some twitches from modern engines and technology while retaining their classic looks.

This has got to be your best work so far; it looks amazing, even when the back side reminds me more of a Peugeot, rather than a Maserati. I would love to see the interior of this thing. It looks more like a sports coupe, rather than a luxurious vehicle.
I wish I could give you a professional opinion, but I can only give you my honest opinion.

Thanks, combining soft characteristics of sleek coupese from the French manufactuer with sportiness of modern Maseratis was indeed, what I had in mind when I designed this car, nimbleness with luxury in a small sports car body style

Well I can definitely imagine this car on the road, but it still doesn't looks to me like a luxurious Maserati; I would rather take it as a sports compact. But maybe I'm wrong . .

Actually, that was my whole point. This is more strongly focused on sportiness rather than luxuriness. Like the Cayman R, a Porsche, which is indeed, considered a luxury brand, but at the same time, considered a pure sports car, with bucket seats and hardly no equpiment, but stripped down for circut use. So this is like a Cayman R, A striiped down sports car from a LUXURY brand

Cool, but I'd prefer sunroof than that super-wide windscreen anyway because in Indonesia the sunlight is... you know very very brighten directly on your head

The sunroof can be blocked like in a normal roof So that problem would not occur

this is your best concept drawing ever this looks more realistic as a real concept that your other work i think the only thing that could be more subtle could be the wheels but thats my opinion, i still thinks everything is perfect the color the body the design the lights match. looking back on your work i can tell you really improved fast on these concepts and its good to see a Maserati looking good again, i think also for future reference if solar panels look similar to glass it would be a great addition to the car, since i think in the future every car will have some form of hybrid technology like the new super cars are having. overall great job with everything and keep up the good work, im going to favorite this, and see what i can do and use this as inspirationΒ

thank you and sorry for my late reply, I am still after 2 weeks of having uploaded this, am still extremely proud of this. It certainly is the cleanest, most detailed digital Photoshop CS5 computer aided drawing that I have ever done along with the sketches and technical details, and yeah, like the Ford GT90 concept with full glass roof that debuted 18 years ago at the Detroit auto show, I certainly thought that sports cars like these shoudl have a strong fiber glass roof, and also one great advantage of this roof is that it would also make a great alternative to a targa-convertible (allowing sun in) while functioning as a normal roof (covering the sun's rays to a certain limit).
And once again, thank you, and thanks for faving my best piece
