I thought of MJ when I was looking at her.  Spider and a redhead beauty.  The symbols and visuals just instantly match up.

Now in this picture being called "Blue Tarantula" with the woman in a blue outfit made me think the artist made a woman as a stand in representative as if she was the female Spider's human/humanoid form.

All of this then made me think of the common origin tale of the Spider heros plus MJ then a Multiverse story idea hit my mind.  A Alternate/Multiverse world where usually the 'radioactive/genetically alter/magical spider' bites Peter (or other) but always seems to die or get crushed or slapped ending it's life.

Instead a female spider trapped and experimented on yearning to be free but also sensing something ('spider sense' linkage maybe) to Peter Parker the human.  The spider like many Spider heroes origins somehow becomes freed, goes to Peter (or other Gwen, Miles, ect) and bites motivated by the 'Great Web' to do so.  Now from that bite Spider DNA enters and transforms the human into a hybrid spider/Human super (and later sometimes enhances t during Man-Spider arcs/six arms Spider storylines in Spider lores).  Than in most Spider hero origins the spider that bit them normally dies.

Not this time.   Instead it lives as Peter is about to slap the spider but stops knowing all about the Spider species bio and traits with knowing that spiders bite only when they are afraid.  Peter then instead treats the small spider with mercy and kindness as normally being the 'little guy' that got picked on by the bigger guys (bullies) for once he was the 'bigger guy' but won't be like his bullies.  He helps the spider get outside to a park and walks away.  The spider is touched by his kindness and mercy.
Just as Peter (or whoever) begins to feel the effects of the spider bite it's revealed that the spider absorbed a good deal of human DNA into her system.  Both feel strange and fall into a sleep but with the spider first wrapped in a silk.

When the small spider wakes up and frees herself from the silk with parts sticking still to her body like a dress she finds she has transformed into a human woman.  She now is herself a hybrid but her transformation was far more enhanced (Spider-Ham was a regular spider bitten by a radioactive Pig and became a Pig in his comic so it's a possibility).

The Spiders in the lab were numerous and had number and simple Letters classifications to them.  The scientists keeping track took count and found that the Spider with the classification labeled only with two Letter characters was missing.  The Spider Subject: 'MJ'.
