I think Shantae would make a great character for the Super Smash bros game, she be perfect.

Unfortunately she isn't well known enough to land a spot there. The SSB series is known for bringing in most only big house to well know icon names into their ranks. With rivals like Mario, Link, Samus Aran, Star Fox, Sonic, etc. I'm afraid someone like Shantae is more of a background character then anything else.

Aw but she got skills, she's a tough fighter, she can use magic, and has great looks, plus her games have been getting popular, so there has to be a chance that she could be a part of the team, it would be amazing.

Well wishing for it to happen is one personal point and one I'm not gonna argue with. But when everything is said and done data is the key factor that often makes all the difference. Now don't get me wrong I'm sure Shantae is a great character in many if not all aspects. But sadly when her data is stacked up against one of the greater Nintendo Legends most of her numbers hardly reach over the others ankles.

In a way it's sorta like comparing Coby "onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Coby " to Luffy and the other Straw Hats. On it's own all the things that he has accomplished are nothing short of amazing. But when compared to all the things the Straw Hats have gone through all the things just feel so much smaller then. I'm sure Shantae is a capable fighter and a valiant heroine. But in order to reach SSB level she has to become nothing short of a legend in her own right. And that's pretty much where the entire problem lies.
