Some of the anatomy and perspective, such as the seafloor and Moses's left hand, hasn't been fully developed before it was painted; it's off. The colors are sort of dull, so it doesn't capture the eye in a way that it could have. It seems as though you were attempting to give a sort of sad feel to this piece, but I'm not sure how that would make sense. The way I understand it, this should give a feeling of hope or awe. Moses uses his god given powers to part an entire sea so he can lead his people to freedom. This should call for a bright sky, or something similar. Also, he hills ahead of the split sea look foreboding. I suppose it's scary to leave the only life you've ever known behind and enter the unknown, but I'm not sure that's the best message to give on this story.
Besides this, the detail is exquisite and beautiful. While some wrinkles are off, his sleeves are wonderful to look at. And the centerpiece of this painting, I believe, has to be the ocean. The tones and details used in it make me want to stare at it all day.
Overall, great work. You could use more improvement when it comes anatomy and perspective, though. Sometimes it's best to step back from the small details, maybe do something else for a while, then come back and examine it as a whole.
