I decided to update her reference sheet. I left the SSB themed headphones out because I don't really see her using them. If you wish to draw them, here's the reference for them. I also gave a small addition, which is the gear engraving on the silver portion of her pendant. If you draw her, please use this for the gears. (Sorry for the huge file...)

Description
Pelt: Sapphire is a medium blue with a white muzzle, chest and belly. Along her body are distinct S-shaped stripes, stopping past her shoulders, ribcage and haunches. These stripes are surrounded by spots which do not reach her belly and chest. Both transition from ultramarine at the shoulders to aqua at the base of the tail; her tail has three stripes that also alternate along with her paws, although they have designs different from each other. Her front left paw and back right paw have an aqua color with a loop while her other paws are ultramarine with a wavy design that seems to resemble a flame. They seem to stop at the "ankles" and are surrounded by spots of the same color. She has retractable, blue claws that can be filled with electricity (See Distinct Characteristics).
Eyes: Her eyes are a sapphire blue, commented as being as vibrant as the ocean.
Distinct Characteristics: Sapphire's large body is made of a titanium alloy covered in thick, durable faux fur that is soft as silk to the touch. Due to an unusual mechanism involving electricity, she can cause this fur to stand on edge when she feels threatened, just like a live cat would. Her whiskers are antennas, allowing her to transmit and receive a variety of radio signals. Although originally integrated to communicate with friends, she sometimes misuses this to listen to music and it is considered a major distraction. However, it seems like this actually has its benefits, as a well timed song can actually help her relax and focus more during a fight.
Her vocal box and "brain" are unlike many that are implemented in robotic animals like her, since she is actually able to speak and think quite fluidly like a human, while still retaining her ability to produce and understand animal vocals. When speaking, she sounds quite sweet and mature. Her hiss, on the other hand, doesn't sound as friendly, being described as extremely wild, sharp and volatile. Her friends are often taken aback by the intensity of the sound.
She is also able to show a wide range of emotions in her face and her communication is not completely restricted to body gestures and sounds. When she's giving the silent treatment, her friends usually watch her facial expressions to understand how she really feels.
She has what she calls "Lightning Claws," retractable electricity-filled claws that can paralyze an opponent for a short time. Alongside this, she can also fire a charged shot from her mouth as well as an energy beam. She sometimes fakes out opponents by preparing to fire a charge shot, and at the last second bite down and unleash it at a different angle. She has also been known to headbutt opponents, usually as a last resort. The Sapphires on her golden bracelet tell how much power her attacks have left. Her emerald pendant glows according to her overall strength and will dimly glow when she's in a critical state.
A rather remarkable feature lies in her ability to absorb Solar Energy. Like other robots, she can absorb this energy from the sun; however, she is also able to absorb this energy at night from the moon in the form of Lunar Energy. The current Lunar Phase depends on how fast or how much she takes in; a full moon allows her to absorb energy like she would in the sun, while a new moon doesn't allow her to absorb any. The different phases and effects are listed below:

Oddly, when the moon and sun are both out during the day, her absorption rate remains at a normal level, even if the moon is full. This solar energy goes into powering her system and her attacks. She has two main storage units, one that is her normal source of power and the other that acts as a backup source in case the original runs dry. There is another smaller storage unit that is only used when she is offline and undergoing repairs; if her damage is severe, this tank can be activated in Offline mode to keep her running.
Accessories: She wears two bracelets: (1) A sapphire-studded golden bangle on her right paw and (2) a metallic blue bracer on her left. She also has an Emerald crystal pendant with a gear charm. The pendant and gems on her bracelet glow mechanically along with her eyes. She occasionally wears blue-tinted goggles with a leather headband imprinted with her "S" insignia and silver frames, usually during a fight.

Personality
Basic: A kind and selfless cat, Sapphire always puts her friends' needs ahead of her own. She also wants to do anything she can to help, even if it meant fighting. Because of her inexperience in combat-not to mention her carelessness- this often got her into trouble, much to her friends' annoyance. However, she shows a willingness to improve, as evident in her training with Elijah, and is able to pull her own weight in combat.
    When upset or in mild pain, she will remain silent, not even talking to close friends. This often leads them to try and get her to open up and tell them what's wrong. When angry, she has been known to be extremely sassy and does not hesitate in back talking anyone. She is also known for holding a grudge when she is wronged, and has to be told to forgive and forget, something that she seems unable to do easily.
    She is quite stubborn, often refusing to go or stay home, even if it was for her own safety. She is also known to refuse giving up a fight, even if the odds of her surviving are slim to none. She is quite prideful, and doesn't appreciate being insulted or mocked, especially by friends. Calling her a "stray" in particular seems to really offend her.
    Seeing a close friend in danger also triggers her anger and she becomes rather impulsive about fighting alongside them. This is due to her highly protective nature, as she will go into a rage and brutally attack whoever was harming her friend. Sometimes getting the foe away or in some cases, knocking them unconscious isn't enough for her and she will either go for the kill or vent her frustration should someone stop her. This prompts her friend to calm her down, often in the form of a Cooldown Hug , in order to remind her that they are safe.
    If they are incapacitated, she will stay by their side and keep an Unbroken Vigil over them. Understandably, she is more protective than usual while they are in such a vulnerable state, being extremely vigilant for any enemies. Should anyone attempt to persuade her to leave, she will viciously refuse to do so. Even being told that her friend will be okay doesn't satisfy her, although it has worked a few times. She will move if she is in the way of anyone attempting to tend to her wounded comrade. She is also noticeably calmer when they are in a safe environment, such as when her friend is recovering either at home or in a hospital.
    Her intense love for her friends is what drives this. This love is purely platonic however as she shows disdain towards romance, especially flirting. This is further evidenced by her statement that a mate will only serve to distract her from what really matters, which is helping her friends. Despite being highly protective and impulsive, she has learned to understand that her friends are capable of fighting on their own, and has no issues with standing on the sidelines and letting them take on a foe solo. It isn't easy, however, as ignoring her protective nature takes a lot of effort.
    She is extremely loyal to her friends, and would follow them to the end; this form of loyalty makes her more like a dog than a cat.
    Quite plucky, she doesn't let a bad experience keep her down too long, and no matter how dire a situation is, she never gives up. Although easily frustrated when things go awry, she is still very optimistic and sees a bright future ahead for both her and her friends.

Story
Brief History: Sapphire, along with Elijah, was created by a female scientist, Professor Skye, as a gift for her son, Isaac. Like Elijah, she was specifically designed to protect the scientist's son, and was given tools to help her achieve that. Sapphire's relationship with the two doesn't last long, as a catastrophic explosion nearly engulfed the entire lab. Sapphire, not being able to find Professor Skye, attempted to get Isaac out alive, but by the time she brought him outside, it was too late. Devastated, she lived on the streets for a few months before she found a plateau overlooking the city and decided to make it her go to place to relax.
This is also where she meets Elijah when she was getting attacked by a fox. They both fight alongside each other and drive the fox off. They quickly become friends and they both vow to fight for each other.

She used to be a live cat, but was changed later on to be a "life-like animatronic".
Many aspects of her original design have either been changed or removed entirely. For example, she no longer has a Mohawk and the Star Fox insignia charm that was on her first Reference Sheet has been removed.
She is abnormally large for a cat, reaching nearly the same size as Rush from Mega Man.
Some of her scrapped designs feature her wearing armor at one point. Armor for her is still being considered.
If designed, it will have some sort of Fire theme to it with the name "Phoenix Armor". It also hints that it might be based off Elijah as well.
Her zodiac sign is Libra.
Here's a pretty embarrassing fact: her story was originally going to delve into a Mega Man fan story, where she meets up with him. However, I really had no idea on how to make it work and I eventually thought it was kind of silly. So, she is in her own universe with her own story.
