Molten Magma has always been more of a groundwork pony, but always finds himself up in the skies. After Spitfire retired from the Wonderbolts, as the only kid of the Captain and the top of his class at the Wonderbolts Academy, Molten became her successor. He follows her original strategies and flight patterns to the letter, and he's even more on top of being a drill sergeant than she was. He does his best to impress and be the center of attention, but he is absolutely in love with encouraging the other recruits he's meant to train. He can be somewhat hard on them, but he has good intentions all in all. As a Wonderbolt, he even has his own somewhat insulting nickname. He lovingly accepts the nickname of Molting Magpie, inspired by the trail of loose feathers he always leaves behind before he takes to the skies.
