Description Venator, also known as the Poisoner Predator is a character I created for the fictional universe of Predator, Alien Versus Predator and Predator-related fan fiction. He is a large, 9-foot tall humanoid with tough, mostly scaly dark tan and brown-colored skin with green accents, clawed hands, a an elongated head with dreadlock-like, leathery hair protrusions coming out in a swept back fashion, a body covered in leather wrappings, a thick and hard leathery, tight type of green leathery armor, green rings in the hair, six green bone trophies adorning his necklace, various technologically-advanced extra-terrestrial weaponry, a light silver mask with black eye lenses, having a blunt type of nose area, circular patterns on the side, and green smearing upon it. He is essentially almost a complete palette swap and reused character model of the Tracker Predator.

Being a part of the Rogue honorless-labeled faction of Yautja sub-species dubbed the Super Predators, Venator Predator once struggled to fit in with the rest of his kin. As he was once attacked by a savage pack of Predator Hounds, he made the alpha of the pack as his first actual trophy. This was arguably a bit less than impressive by his own clan, as it was a common creature native to their home planet. Viewed as weaker and lacking in skills than his brethren, he set out to find a way to improve himself. Upon discovering a type of rare toxin upon an uncharted planetoid, Venator immediately became invested to put the poison to good use. Experimenting on himself with the toxin and his skills in Yautja medicine, the Super Predator slowly increased his overall size and strength which surpassed very many of his own clan kin. Harnessing the poison into his weaponry already considerably more advanced than the mainstream Yautja, Venator developed a unique hunting strategy which involved using a poison gas version of the toxin to both drive his enemies out and kill them. Partaking in his first official Rite of Passage Hunt to slay a Xenomorph/Alien, Venator cleverly planted deadly modified versions of the proximity mines in and around the Hive. By using this strategy, he not only managed to kill one of the Serpents, but rather the entire Hive. As such, he made a trophy of the Queen in her weakened state. This drastically improved his reputation as a capable Hunter and earned him much more respect than most of his kin, being promoted to a higher status than Young Blood or Blooded. To this day, Venator kidnaps and drops various prey onto the the Game Preserve Planet along with the other Super Predators to savagely hone his skills, and destroy the noble mainstream Yautja warriors.

As a Super Predator, Venator possesses strength that would usually exceed that of the standard Yautja, and the experimentations on himself have made him even larger, stronger, and more endurable than most of his own clan brothers. The Predator carries the standard wristblade, incredibly tough armor, various vision modes, an updated cloaking/wrist computer device, vocal mimicry, a pulse-reading vision mode, and plasmacaster. His main strategy in both hunting and battle is the use of the lethal toxin he developed. He routinely washes his singular long wristblade in the Poison, which can deliver fatal blows if potent enough. His advanced plasmacaster fires green bolts of "poison plasma" which upon hitting a surface can spread into a small wave; the more charged the shot, the more damage it will inflict.

He integrates this Poison into the use of proximity mines, capable of exploding, or releasing a deadly gas version of the toxin. Venator is able to spray this from his wrist computer gauntlet, and initiate the self-destruct mechanism fused with the poison as well. He is equipped with a new vision mode that allows him to see, trace, and navigate through clouds of his toxin, as well as track those who have ingested it. Like most Predators, Venator loves extremely hot climates, and fire is a poor choice of weapon against him. With strength able to crush Concrete and bend most metals with his bare hands, it's usually unwise for a weaker opponent to attempt to physically outmatch him.

While he may be a very formidable adversary to deal with, Venator sports a few weaknesses. While his stature is rather large and bulky, he is usually more intimidating than he is skilled. Close combat isn't a specialty for the Super Predator, and as such can be brought down by very good, fast and coordinated attack patterns. He largely depends on the use of his poison to wear down his enemies for them and him to deliver the finishing blow, rather than he having to do it all himself. Although Fire is a poor choice of weapon to directly hurt the Predator, it can be used to essentially overheat his infrared vision, and blind him. He also is not adapted for cold climates, he would have to adjust to such a setting. Liquid nitrogen would be an effective weapon against him. As with most Yautja, a direct explosion will usually kill him. Without the aid of his mask, Venator will only be able to breath an Earth-based atmosphere for a limited time, and his only vision would operate based off of infrared, and things that radiate off basic heat.

Looking extremely similar to the Tracker Predator, the Venator also possesses many differences. The biggest difference is that Venator's mask is a notably lighter silver, the targeting laser is green and to the right, it is undamaged, and lacks the two wrapped tusks jutting from the front. The Tracker's is a darker silver, with a cracked eye, a left targeting red laser, and two tusks from Pred-Hounds protruding from the front. Venator's armor is exactly mirrored from Tracker's, with his plasmacaster being on his right shoulder, the wristblade on the left, the wrist gauntlet on the right, and the lower leg armor is reversed. While Tracker enjoys the company of Predator dogs more so than his own clan kin, Venator has a big hatred for the beasts and loves being around his clan brothers.

Venator and Tracker are also different by hunting and fighting tactics. Tracker Predator utilizes his Hounds to flush out and track prey, while also employing psychological torment, toying with the prey before they die. Venator strategically places Poison Proximity Mines to activate, confuse, surprise and subdue his prey; he prefers to eliminate his targets as fast as possible. Venator is also physically much larger than Tracker, standing at almost nine and a half feet, while Tracker is said to be slightly larger than a mainstream Yautja. His plasmacaster fires green bolts instead of blue, his wristblade is green unlike Tracker's, his armor is a lighter green, and the leather wrappings are darker than the Flusher's. While it isn't explained what the green stains are upon the Dog-Handler's helm, the smearing on Venator's is the toxin used like a warpaint.

Tracker's face was also never revealed or even made. Venator's face looks identical in shape and texture to the Berserker Predator's, but it is primarily green, including his claws, inner mouth, teeth, and eyes are also green as a result of the ingested poison. Tracker's primary skin color is a light tan, while the secondary is a dark green, having dark red accents to it. Venator's is a darker tan, brown secondary, and light green accents. It is assumed that Tracker Predator is a more adept fighter, as he would need to be in order to handle his Hounds. Venator on the other hand, while certainly stronger isn't as skilled of a fighter. He has six necklace trophy bones that are green-washed unlike Tracker's, which are normal and only four. The two have obvious undeniable similarities, such as their almost identical appearances, ruthlessness, tribalistic hunter mentality, and lack of respect towards almost any other life forms.

The Venator Predator is my first successfully-made Super Predator, and his name translates to "Hunter" in Latin. He was obviously inspired directly by the Tracker Predator, as I thought the character was so appealing I wanted to create something almost entirely in his image. This is similar to the process of other characters, arguably like those such as Blackout and Grindor from the Transformers franchise. The goal was to create a character that mirrored the image of the Tracker Predator, but made to be almost the opposite. As such, Venator will remain to serve as both a tribute, and deadly foe for the Predator universe.
