Aiko was a programming student with Kenta in school, and had always scoffed at his solitary nature and haphazard style, so she was surprised to see he had joined the CR much the same way she had, just a little bit later. By the time Kenta became an official Rider, Aiko had been fighting Bugster for months, having offered the CEO of Genm Corp, Dan Kuroto, a challenge: if she could construct a working Gasshatto, he would let her keep her Gamer Driver. Obviously, she won the bet, and has been fighting rogue Bugster in a freelance fashion for a while now.

Using the Senryaku Chess Gasshatto, Aiko is able to assume the Level One form of Kamen Rider Shougi Chess Gamer, which seriously lacks jumping power, but makes up for it in dash speed and brawn. Activating the Gasshatto generates a grid cross the ground and peppers it with black and white chess pawns. If Shougi knocks two pawns of opposing colors into each other, one will disappear and leave behind a power up token.
