Experiment 2971

28/08/12

Every event has a consequence: some positive, others negative. Today was a case of both consequences. We lost a secondary base to a PRT attack leaving casualties upon it. Being a mining base this will limited raw material we will be receiving from now on. However, some good news has come out of the of the situation. One of our agent, a young Lucario was mortally injured by the battle and we were capable to save him and he is currently on life support. He has given me the right to use his body and mind to rebuild him so he can take revenge against those that have cause this on him. I am more than happy to fulfil this request.

Our engineers have already begun construction on an armor suit and cybernetics that will replace his useless body part and into a body crafted in steel and fire. The material cost will be far higher then anything else we have every done in terms of cybernetics. His body is destroyed and only his mind remain intact from the battle. This will be a project that cause us a lot of material to finish and most likely slow down our weapons production much to the commander disapproval.

Although in other good news with him being a willing subject this will minimizing the chance of him revolting against us like so many others like to do so. That will be a nice change paces for the time being.

03/09/12

We had a small set back. We were force to rethink our to handle this experiment. The subject, now rename Immortal, as proven more complication when we first expected. Too many organs will need to be replace for him to even get out of his bed. This will likely result in his body reject the cybernetics with due time. At the price his new body will be such a scenario will be unacceptable. The only other solution to this problem will be to attach his life support upon the armor suit and attack a wired his brain into the suit. This of itself is not optimal. The life support itself will have to take the majority of his suit and limited the weaponry and reflex the armor suit should be capable to carry. On paper this seems like a non-issue but with pokéumans and their “honor” style combat of using melee and close range attacks this will provide as a liability with the life support becoming too great of a weakness that can be taken out. This scenario is also unacceptable.

My answer to these problems will be to significantly increases the armor and size of the armor suit at the cost of agility. The military general as taken this as a derail to the original experiment but his opinions on the matter is null and void. He clearly understandment power form artificial means and relies too much on the pokéuman in our organisation. I see this as a new opportunity that we did not first consider. There is no point to out build the natural strength of a pokéuman when we can out armor it and out power it. By the new design it will make Immortal much bigger and much slower than a normal pokéuman but there will be so much armor and spacing and will make more if not all attacks against him completely useless. We can add a variety of strong weapons and an armor suit that will cover him like a second skin. In truth this will make him a walking tank excellent for any operation that isn’t revolve around stealth. Although our organisation has pride itself on our ability to hide in plain sight I do not see this has a reason to pull the plug on this experiment.

10/09/12

The experiment is moving along smoothly. Immortal's armor suit is nearly completed and we have already cut off any useless limbs from Immortal that will not be necessary within his new body. I have already been informed that the metal case will be powered by a modified fusion core. This will reduce any possibility of nuclear leaking in case the suit receives heavy damage. I am happy that the engineer team have thought of this in advance instead of creating a walking atomic bomb right within these walls. The commander still isn’t happy about this experiment and how many resources we are putting to complete it. However, he can only do so little about this experiment as of now.

13/09/12

The suit has been completed and Immortal has been put into. He is very pleased to be capable to walk once again. However, his new body case is a lot larger then I first expected. It's two meters in height and it weighs almost a ton, but it's a masterpiece of mechanical engineering. His robotic hands could fit and crush a skull without much effort. Although I have notice the armor case to be clunky it still capable to move around with ease and with good speed. In a test we try what he was capable of. Firstly, Immortal was capable to cut 20 mm of reinforced steel like he was tearing paper apart. The next test was also a success, for the most part at least. We tested if he would still be capable to fight a pokéuman in close combat to satisfy the command. Just him in a room with another pokéuman. This proved that even if Immortal couldn't match the opponent's speed, the armour was impervious to whatever the opponent could throw at him. It’s a shame that Immortal didn’t fully understand his power and he completely crushed his opponent, such was his power. It may have costed a soldier of our own but the general did get the result he wanted.

14/09/12

A prototype weapon has been created for Immortal replacing his right arm with a raid-fire assault cannon. 50-caliber rapid-fire assault cannon that can fire four rounds per second. This "hand cannon" as it is being nickname by the engineer team prove to be extremely effective. Cutting down metal effectively although not as well as it's basic claws. As a test run we had it be use again a bunch of failed experiments that were nothing more then dead bodies. The hand cannon proves to be extremely devastating in this regard. Too much as a matter of fact. We want to remain our enemies alive if it can be help and I do not see how this weapon can be use for capturing. Even rubber bullets would tear about the living flesh of any being. Still, this does prove that Immortal can handle large and powerful weapons.

16/09/12

A new weapon has been made for Immortal. This one is more to what we were looking for. A battle cannon with a changeable core, which can use different types of energy. Energy that will be capable to replicating Pokémon moves. As of now it can only hold four energy cores which which can replicate the effects of the moves Hyper Beam, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, and Zap Cannon. Although this combination does not cover every type weakness it will bring high power moves in which a normal pokéuman could never be capable of using all at once. Although these are only artificial recreations, so a well-trained Pokéuman that knows one of those moves will be capable of making better use of them. However, this matters not, as these artificial moves still hold much destructive power.

This new weapon, an energy cannon as it is being nicknamed, will replace his right arm although it is capable of being removed and changed for another weapon if need be. So far our test has proven that the weapon works and that Immortal is accurate with it.

17/09/12

Immortal as been acting very odd recently. He doesn't need to eat anymore yet he craves for food on a regular basis. The lack of his sense of touch, smell and taste seem to have also effect him in a negative manner. After becoming a being that is not capable to natural sense he now craves for them. The oblivious solution to this problem would be to reconnect his brain to put an end to these cravings, however the general refuses this. Officially he claims that it could affect his combat effectiveness but I know very well that he does not trust me. He does not trust in humans like myself that believe in technological weaponry over natural capability. He thinks that this war can be won by the might of his soldiers and nothing else. That idiot Blaziken still believe that the pokéuman natural abilities are enough to win this war. Maybe someone should remind him that the pokémons lost the war against the humans because their natural abilities were not capable to match human competence and superiority. A mistake I will not allow this organization to commit against our enemy.

However, I ask my assistant to rearrange the mechanics in body so we can remotely deactivate Immortal whenever and wherever. We do not want to repeat the mistake of experiment 2237 once more. For now, I will allow this refusal pass for the simple reason that I am sick and tired of the general interfering with my work.

18/09/12

The engineer of this base have started to become a nascence in this experiment. Already some of them have started to modified Immortal's armor suit. Something they should not be allowed to do. And they are trying to push out more experimental weapons that I fear would be quite useless for our needs. They are going for lethal capability while we should be take our enemies alive. I and my follow scientists required a constant flow of capture living subjects to complete our experiments and allowing this kind of careless is counter productive to our cause. They are treating Immortal like a toy instead of a weapon and this behavior worry me on how much I can rely on the engineer team for the experiment.

19/09/12

The general as become inpatient. He wants Immortal to become battle ready before the 22 where he will attempt to retake the lost base from last month. This is certain what Immortal was build for, siege mission and defense. Immortal is getting more aggressive from as the day goes on to where my own man is worry of the metal monster. He is still a solider and he still follows orders so it is possible for him to remain stable for at least the end of the battle. I will be force to come with them on the battle in case unexpected variables come in play with Immortal alongside a handful of engineers. This will my first time in the front line and I cannot say that I am excited for it. Whoever this will keep the engineer form touching him anymore.

22/09/12

The battle was a short but worthwhile victory. We lost minimal man and Immortal prove to be the ultimate weapon we built him to be. Breaking thought-out all the PRT defense and managing to kill the head of their division force them to retreat with their tails tuck between their legs. The pokéumans were incapable to stop Immortal and it cost them the battle. However the victory was little of my concern. Immortal acted oddly after the battle. Before anyone was capable to gather the bodies of the casualties he took their skull and started to attach them to his armor. It didn't matter if it was friend or foe he took them as decoration. Most prominently was the enemy commander skull; a Luxuray that Immortal now use as a crown. Attempts have been made to remove the skulls which only ended in more skulls for decoration.

It is clear to me that Immortal as become obsess with death. For he cannot die has a normal being he has decided to take the skulls with him as a reminder of this. Quiet intriguing if I do suggest myself. This has seem to calm him down from his previous aggression although he seems to only scream whatever he is speaking, having shown sighs that he is slowly losing his mind. The general has him under constant watch, much to his disapproval. Once more the general is not happy with me. What I am worry about his lethal methods instead of employing capture tactics. Not what I would call a complete success.

23/09/12

A small counter attack has been made against the base in which our force where capable to hold off. Once again Immortal prove invaluable in combat. Although his aggression as become a liability. One of our highest protocol is to bring back pokéumans alive when possible. A protocol that Immortal have been ignoring for the addition of his skull collection. Although intrigue by this behavior I cannot compromise that Immortal is slowly losing his mind and may become unstable. This is not an acceptable scenario considering that he is in a full metal armor suit that weaponry capable to take out an entire base by himself. Especially with the toying the engineer did, they most likely cause my experiment to become practically impossible. What they have done could very well cost this experiment.

Knowing how uncontrollable my test subject can become I want to bring him back to HQ where I can recondition him into a better solider although the general wants to me salvage this before I attempt this. This I believe can only end in failure. He is in a far way sub-base away from my direct control making it impossible to control the experiment in a manner that would be efficient. For now, I will attempt my best in this however it is only a matter of time before his aggression turns against us.

25/09/12

Although expected it was capable to shock the general and our soldiers station at the recently capture outpost. Immortal get to a quick but heated argument in which ended in a puddle of blood. The aggression Immortal posses is too familiar with me so I have decided to retake Immortal back into my care and have him return into the main base where farther considerations can be made. The military general for hopefully a final time is discontent with the decision although not opposite of it. Immortal will now be put in a coma freeze and send back here where he can be properly rehabilitated; at least officially.

Mind control will be use on him and it will be use to force a sense of unbreakable loyalty to our organisation which will make sure that he will never turn again us once more. At the very least never turn against me. I will pretend that the general has full control on Immortal but I do not trust him in conserving this experiment. Hopefully his incompetence will not allow Immortal to be lost in combat.

27/09/12

Rehabilitation is completed. Immortal as become loyal to me without question, something I wish our soldiers already had. But that is not important, what is important is that this experiment is a success, for the most part at least. Immortal will have to remain in coma freeze until he is required once more in case the aggression goes beyond what we can controlled. Furthermore, this experiment as proven me some crakes in our system. This was the first project the scientist, engineer and military wing of our base have work together to create a super weapon and even if we seceded in it it’s clear that we do not trust each other. This will a problem that will ruin the total efficiency of this base and most likely break the foundation of this base. A problem I will fix myself when the time comes.

Well... at least they got the experiment to kill something that wasn't them this time...

An improvement, I suppose.

That is, unless Dr. Mechanize doesn't release Immortal on the other divisions out of spite.

An improvement for sure. At least it got to taste the blood for it's enemies.

But who knows what else will happen with Immortal since unlike other experiments he is still combat ready.
