Human sketches of the Lackadaisy characters are scattered among the sketch dumps here, but most of them were making me cringe, so I figured I'd just update them and pile them all together. Some of the characters appear more than once in this image. Hopefully most of them are recognizable to those who keep up with the comic.(I know this may not exactly reflect what others think the characters would look like, and that's fine. I prefer them to be rather open to interpretation - these just happen to be my interpretations.)

I'm a great Lackadaisy fan. I love the way you draw expressions! And how you capture the essence of every character so that one can easily recognise them in both human and cat form is simply awesome. Out of all the characters in Lackadaisy, Mordecai is my favourite!

I'd say if you;re going to have Chris Pine as Rocky you should DEFINITELY put in Zachary Quinto as Mordecai.Β Β

Honestly, the best approach would be to hold public auditions and scour the streets for unknowns who are more likely (by the advantage of variety)to match the appearance of the characters.Β There's millions in the United States alone who have probably never even heard of Lackadaisy but among them are people who look like each of the above characters.

Yeah, but Hollywood needs big, headline names somewhere. I'm not asking the full cast to be famous (there wouldn't be enough in the budget in the first place), but if a character was drafted to have a famous actor/actress who would be the best bet?Β

Adams' eyes aren't big or soft enough to play Freckle.Β Chris Pine has big eyebrows and blue eyes so we'll just have to see how big his smile is.Β Zoey Deschanel might work for Ivy depending on her voice and personality (Which I don't recall).Β I don't know about Gabriel Macht as Wick.Β JGL as Mordecai, maybe after hair dressing and glasses.Β Tom Hardy as Viktor might work.Β I think that Zib would be played by some snarkey mullato guy.Β Naomi Watts as Mitzi doesn't quite fit.Β Neither Minka nor Moon seem to quite fit as Seraphine.Β Maybe someone more Latina or Mediterranean for her.Β Taylor Lautner would never work for Nico.

Hmm... you have points. I mostly took those from people listing off the top of their heads. It's by no means an extensive, complete list of the best actors/actresses suited to the role. Zoey wouldn't be my first pick, but she acts well. Gabriel Macht isn't a very good fit, but he is on the lower paid side of the listed, which would make him a competitive entry in some cases. JGL's transformation in Looper was fairly well done and he did a similar role in Inception. Tom Hardy could adjust to the role, but he wouldn't be a studio's first choice. I'm really not sure about casting the women in Lackadaisy since I'm not as well versed in actresses as actors. I'd love to hear your choices for them.Β The Taylor Lautner one was for laughs. I don't mean anything to his acting skills, but he doesn't have that aura Nico gives off. Goodman would be a good pick, thank you.
