I had a few requests for a drawing tutorial for Lackadaisy so I figured, hey! Let's draw some stupid, whynot?Originally, it had a painting tutorial included, but it was getting to be too long, so I truncated it. That part might make it onto lackadaisycats.com when I hoist up there, though.

I'm not -at all- one for tutorials on how to draw--but this one is pretty awsome, fun to read and the artwork is pleasing to look at. I do love seeing how artists so what they do.

I will only make one suggestion: If you decide to make another one of these "How to Draw" tutorials, add stuff about the line of action or gesture to create the great posing that you seem to have in all of your art.

I think this has to be one of the funniest tutorials I have ever read! My first year in Art School they made us draw these paper macheed cones and junk, it was terrible boring, and I still to this day am not sure their precise reasoning.

This is a delightfully helpful piece, Tracy. I really appreciate, and thoroughly enjoy, the mind-set you have with the Cats. They are a wonderfully rambunctious mob, and a joy to watch, though I am very glad that you live with them, and I donβt.
Speaking of mind-sets, this is a patient, hand-holding, guided tour compared with the tutorials done by Frank Cho, and just as hilarious!

Seriously though, I enjoyed this tutorial quite a bit (since that is how I seem to be learning in the drawing and digital art world) I'm not going to walk away with a completely clear idea of how to draw Freckle, however, I do have an amazing idea of the process to take to draw a character, which is what I needed the most.
