Description I had a few requests for a drawing tutorial for Lackadaisy so I figured, hey! Let's draw some stupid, whynot?
Originally, it had a painting tutorial included, but it was getting to be too long, so I truncated it. That part might make it onto lackadaisycats.com when I hoist up there, though.

This is extremely helpful! But I have a few questions, if it's not too much. What sort of eraser did you use to erase so cleanly, or is that dependant on how hard you drew your pencil sketch, or even the paper you used? Can you estimate about how long this took you?
My sister and I are really and seriously thinking about getting into the comic making (behind the scenes; we don't have much to show for it on our dA accounts), so any advice you have will be appreciated, if you're not too busy.

She mentions a kneaded eraser ... they're those funny grey kind you see in art and craft stores - and I think the craft section in WalMart actually carries them now, too, if you live in the middle of nowhere like I do. They're really odd to get used to at first, and squishy, but once you get the hang of them they're amazing.

your wit cracks me up.

i'm glad you still had this on DA cos i was looking for how you did your head:body proportions. i want to draw like.... redwall/peter rabbit -esque realistic furs, and was having trouble with body height.

so thankyou m'dear for the lovely reference! (and for drawing an all cat comic. there really should be more worlds with ALL cats. i mean, come on! how do mixed breed worlds work? they can't interbreed. i'm not being racist, but physics man! but as you said...they are talking cat after all )

I read this originally when you first posted it; however, I came back to read it again. In general tutorials help you draw basic figures and poses, but rarely does anyone take the time to say "this is how you figure out folds in clothing." I would just like to say thank you for taking the time to first off, make a tutorial, and second, include that partiularly helpful detail. Thank you. +fav

This is going to sound horribly creepy and fangirly. But then honesty is hardly ever appreciated.

Ahem.

Your work astounds me, and you humor makes me laugh so hard that I've learned never to attempt drinking anything around it. If I weren't already spoken for, I'd likely propose marriage.

Thanks for sharing your work: it's enriching!

Thank You for posting this. I've been learning how to draw, something other than illumination, through online tutorials. I was really interested in seeing how you added the clothes. I'm looking forward to trying some of the techniques.

Thanks

Heehee, I want a grilled-cheese sandwich that can destroy half a city block. But then... it's grilled cheese so I'd probably eat it. Which would probably kill me. So no, I take it back.

Awesome tutorial.
