Description
If there's anything I enjoy painting, it's snow...and melodrama. Which is probably how I managed to sidetrack myself once again from what I should have been painting. Characters Tess and Kessian (who has become left handed as a result of some poor compositional planning on my part, but since it's the first time I've done a color image of him, he can stay that way). The foreground was drawn out in pencil first, originally with a somewhat different background. In painting it with Photoshop, I swapped in a different background.Related content

I think,you're gallery is absolutely amazing, but that art is the best for me. Beautiful characters, background,colours, clothes(!).. I would have art like that on my wall

I love the way you paint backgrounds. You make it look so easy! I keep thinking: "I can do that too!" but then, when sitting with Photoshop open and the tablet before me, it usually comes down to: "Where the heck do I start?" and ends up doing it all wrong.
What really caught my eye - aside from the snow - was the incredible details on the clothing and armor. I'm amazed by the amount of details. Everywhere I look I find new goodies. Brilliant!

I have to agree with other comments on this image. I can feel the feelings in the air from the painting, and the knight and maiden's expressions look really detailed, bringing out their emotions.

There's actually an incredibly easy way to defeat the compositional error of him being left-handed... Just flip the image. It'd work pretty well here too...
Only down side is that there is a tendency for people to read an image from left to right, so you'd probably end up drawing more emphasis on the woman than the man I'd think...
