If you recognize this character, you're probably wondering what the hell he's doing on Deviantart!This cute little hunk of junk is named Zappomatic, and he's from a (sadly defunct) theme park ride called The 5th Dimension, which used to be part of Chessington World of Adventures. I never got to witness this ride, being based in America and all, but somehow I got to reading about it and got really curious! From what I can tell, it was incredibly '80s and had quite a unique sense of humor about it.
I love Zappomatic's design most of all. Have you ever seen anything like that in your life?
The 5th Dimension belongs to Tussauds Studios/Chessington World of Adventures.

His actual animatronic inside the ride was actually one UGLY motherfucker. 
There's a little cartoon pre-show that the people in line would watch with an animated Zappomatic here ...I kind of combined design elements of the two to get, well, this. I've been drawing him nonstop for weeks now, heh...-w-
