One of my ultime favorite books <33 i reccomend it, it is one of the best and its not the happiest either but its strong.

Okay so I feel that Abbey would fit the main chara in the book TAORITR
My reason, one semi because of an old idea of yours of Abb going on multiple adventures in her life one including protecting a girl, I think her life with a family and "protecting" them along the way is an adventure of her own. In the book basically its a man who is a famous racer (who likes to race in the rain wOO) who gets married to a wonderful woman who the parents dont approve of the man, and they end up having a wonderful daughter. The entire book is in the perspective of the man's dog. The mom gets sick and dies (why there is a ghost) and the parents of the mom begin to try to take custody over the daughter and the dad has to do his best to win her back with court and things. The dog wants to help and he understands everything but he can't do anything because he can't talk.
There is a point when the dad is going to give her up in a way, it would be her going to a special school alone and he wouldn't be able to see her, but the dog stops it and gives hope to the dad and he continues to try and ends up winning in court getting his daughter back which wouldn't have happened unless the dog stopped him.

Since Abb is loyal I feel that she would fit this role perfectly, and at the end when its her time to leave and start a new life again, an adventure would've been completed.
