Description Most engines thought scrap was the worst fate, once they were in a scrap yard they believed that was it, all they had to do was sit and wait. However they were wrong. In Barry scrapyard a standard lurked in a corner. The loco sat on a siding all on it's own. No engine wanted to be near it, they knew of it's true state. The scrapyard had done more than ever imaginable to this engine.

The cutters torch would usually be the pinacle of an engines fear, and they would generally sit in the scrapyards counting their days. But this engine had turned that into something else, pure hate... which in turn sent the engine mad.

However the loco became the interest to a preservation group. All seemed well, the loco almost seemed changed. That was, until, the night the loco was moved. Nobody ever knew what happened on that night... The engine left the scrapyard and seemingly disappeared... This didn't seem so much of a problem to start with, it had been a foggy night. It was possible the diesel dragging it had broken down on a siding somewhere. But after a few days they knew something far more sinister had occured. Especially when the burn out remains of the diesel were discovered, along with the remains of the preservationists...

Had to get a piece for Halloween done, been working on this since about 7:30 when I realised I still hadn't done anything.

I'm surprised no one bothered to mention the fact it has a nice yet spooky resemblance to the engine as seen from the T&F Episode, "Halloween"

This was brilliant, mate! If I can ever find the right loco, will you allow me to remake this engine in Trainz? I'll give you credit, of course.

it isn't. It says a 'standard' as in a British Railways Standard. I think it is a Standard 6.. I could be wrong.

you should make a supernatural about the big boy or challenger... that would be a scarier nightmare if a train that size chasing you.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

NorthWester1 [2012-10-28 04:29:31 +0000 UTC]

I know I may be a bother saying this, but... what happened? How did they die? I'm asking because, well, engines can't kill people as they have no hands and cant move themselves. Also, how did the diesel burn out? Was it a traction failure?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

The-Thomas-Spriter In reply to NorthWester1 [2013-07-11 22:29:44 +0000 UTC]

Engines can kill people if you think about it. If you stand on a railway line and a train comes towards you, then it's pretty much your last breath of air before you get hit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthWester1 In reply to The-Thomas-Spriter [2013-07-14 18:03:17 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but that's not what I actually meant: all of those are accidents, but those guys seemed to be killed on purpose. Surely no engine cold ever do that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Thomas-Spriter In reply to NorthWester1 [2013-07-14 18:46:17 +0000 UTC]

It's a supernatural story, it's not real. What part of that do you not understand?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthWester1 In reply to The-Thomas-Spriter [2013-07-14 18:50:53 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but even supernatural occurrences, oh wait, never mind; I was going to say that even supernatural occurrences have reasons, but then again, genies are just that way.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Thomas-Spriter In reply to NorthWester1 [2013-07-14 18:58:03 +0000 UTC]

Supernatural occurrences don't really have much of a reason. In fact, some of them may not be real. Why question something which isn't meant to make sense anyways?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthWester1 In reply to The-Thomas-Spriter [2013-07-14 18:59:50 +0000 UTC]

Simple: the one who made this is a realist and does not believe trains are able to fall in love or grab things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Thomas-Spriter In reply to NorthWester1 [2013-07-14 19:01:29 +0000 UTC]

Supernatural events don't need a lot of realism. Why the diesel and the people died is a mystery, it's not meant to be known.

thoughtengine In reply to The-Thomas-Spriter [2014-06-25 12:24:41 +0000 UTC]

I hardly think a car could do so either, but look how many copies of Christine were sold. Why did we get on the subject of reality when we're talking about locomotives being sentient and having faces on their smokebox covers?

NorthWester1 In reply to The-Thomas-Spriter [2013-07-14 19:03:10 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I see. But some investigation would take place, wouldn't it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Train4755 In reply to NorthWester1 [2012-10-28 22:55:29 +0000 UTC]

You really need to stop questioning things that aren't real. It's supernatural. Engines can kill, the diesel blew up. And guess why, because I said so.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthWester1 In reply to Train4755 [2012-10-28 23:03:32 +0000 UTC]

I don't care, diesels don't blow up without reason, even when it involves supernatural.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Train4755 In reply to NorthWester1 [2012-10-29 01:18:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but I said that they can. Anyway the real reason the diesel blew up is because it was snorting illegal substances, which it couldn't handle and therefore exploded.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthWester1 In reply to Train4755 [2012-10-29 01:51:30 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I see. So, I'm asking because I'm curious, but what was the illegal substance? Alcohol, poison, or methane?
