Same here. My version of Atomic Betty Redux simply titled Atomic Betty II is gonna have a little less wackiness like Mission: Earth and probably have a darker story within the series. May take a while though.

I've seen some of your work, you do a good job. I too working on an Atomic Betty fanfic, but I'm running a bit short on inspiration on show to continue it. I have several chapters written out, but don't want to post it until I have more of an idea on how to continue it.

What did you like about the show? I liked the retro-futuristic aesthetics and cheesiness. Although, I thought season 3 went a bit too far in the cheesiness department.
Also think the show would have been better if they had proper 1/2 hour episodes instead of 15 minutes. Bracelet yourself, It Takes One to Know One, and There's No Space like home were my favorite episodes. It actually had time to build up a better plot

Yeah I know how you feel. I think the show could do better if it had a deeper plot and probably be turned to a somewhat darker and edgier show (not too dark though). Though I have to agree that they could have done better if the episodes were 30 minutes instead of 15.

I don't think it necessarily have to be dark, but just have some more conflict and consequences. Betty seems to be a bit of a Mary Sue in that she saves the day easily without making any sacrifices. I'm not saying that they have to make things Epic or too serious, but show her actually facing the consequences of ditching people at the top of the hat. That no, sometimes people run out of patience and stop forgiving. No, running out of class and not returning or being late is not ok, you get detention.
I also see some lost opportunity for plot potential. Like DeGilla trying to recruit Roger, what if Roger decided to turn traitor? Are all Blood Monks mindless minions, what if one decides to go rogue or join the guardians? DeGill seems to show a lot of favoritism towards Betty, wouldn't there be some jealousy within the ranks? Quite a few plot bunnies I see go unfed.

I think it is most likely a combination of the former and not giving the kids enough credit, just look at Danny Phantom, MLP:FiM, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command or Kids Next Door. Excellent writing and good plot lines without going too far into dark territory.

Either they were rushing or were just trying to make it so kids who watch the show don't have to worry so much.
