Porter for the United States Transportation Corps. Some of her jobs there to deliver ammunition to and from army base's in the states as well as switching cars around army depots until 1945 when the war was over. Granite Rock a mining company in Watsonville CA, bought the engine from the Army Corps of Engineers and put it to work hauling rock from the company’s quarry until being replaced by a diesel switcher in 1951. Gianna seat rusting away until being resorted by Granite Rock in 1990 and would later donated it to the California State Railroad Museum in May 1997.
