Description Because I think the Big Man loves it when we use our art to show His grace!

That's Jesus, in case you can't tell. If you can't tell I officially fail as an artist.

Jesus is watching the girl (me) draw a picture for Him, and he thinks it's beautiful. It doesn't have to be great or amazing, just because you're using the talents He gave you for Him makes him happy.

Thank you for giving me another chance to publish my works and expand my audience, and I will most definitely be sure to check it out. However, as I'm currently both busy and slightly unsatisfied with my art as of late, so I don't know how often or how much I will post, since if my art is going outside dA I want it to be my best art. Still, thank you very very very much, and once I post some art I deem worthy of being posted on another site, you'll hear from me.
May God bless you.

Not a problem, love. ^^

I unfortunatly still struggle with doubts (like if I am doing what pleases Jesus, and if I belong to Him still)...but it is just part of the journey, it does not make me less of a child of God. Jesus lives in me, no matter what....and He lives in you, too. I can feel He is smiling at you, holding you close to His heart. You are indeed blessed!

Thanks. I know I'm Blessed...God has blessed me in so many ways.

I'm sure you still belong to Him. After all, we're all God's children! Some of us are more rebellious than others, but He loves us all as His children. What's more, you seem to be pretty strong in the faith in the short amount of time I've spoken...er, typed to you.

Do not doubt yourself! First of all "Can you, by worrying, add one minute to your life? If you cannot, do not worry!" (Quoted from a verse in the Bible that chapter and verse escapes me. XD) And secondly, just remember: GOD OWNS YOUR FANCLUB. The King of the WORLD owns your fanclub. XD

RavinVirus In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-03 02:01:13 +0000 UTC]

Indeed He has, and I know He has blessed me too.

Thank you, I know I must belong to Him still. I love Jesus, more than anything and everything else! I accepted and recieved Him, as long as I can remember, I gave myself to Him. It's just...someone who does not know me personally (it was from a Christian counseling website called Jesus2020.com), has hurt me by saying because I suffer these doubts, I was not a true believer...I know that man is wrong, but it still hurts.

I am learning not to doubt so much in myself, besides, it is not my strength that helps me, it is Jesus and His Spirit in my soul. He does! God is not just King of the World, He is KING OF ALL!

TrainxEve-Fan In reply to RavinVirus [2010-02-03 02:08:00 +0000 UTC]

Well, that's just not right! I personally believe Jesus delights when we question things, it leads us to discovering more about Him! And that's a great thing. Coming from some other random person who doesn't know you personally, I think you are a true believer. There, it all balances out now.

RavinVirus In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-03 02:15:55 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, ma'm. I do too, and I believe that wheyher your concern is, tell Jesus about it...That what I believe, He wants all of us, all our souls, hearts, thoughts. I als know other Christians ask questions like that too. He was wrong, and I know it in my heart (I have told Jesus about this multiple times, I feel He too tells me that this man is wrong)....I just hold that so much....any insult to my connection to Jesus, towards my siblings in Jesus, or towards Jesus Himself are very personal to me and must be dealt with. I can not ignore stuff like that, even though they are wrong, people like that intend to harm and it upsets me.

Well, people like that need our love the most. After all, we live IN the world, but we aren't OF the world. So we're encroaching on their territory, in an odd sort of way. What we need to do is show them love, even when they insult our faith, and teach them by example the glorious things God can to a person.

RavinVirus In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-03 02:50:39 +0000 UTC]

I know, but I do not always remember that....You and I are not of this world, that is true...and I must say that even if one is Christian, they may not always act it...The other things that man said did not sound like anything I have ever believed and taught. The sad thing is that just because the Holy Name of Jesus for a group or other things, they may not always share same truths as Jesus has.

Back to this subject, though...You are right. We must be kind to our enemies, as hard as it sounds. They need to know Jesus's love, it makes me sad to know they do not...and I pray we will be able help them see that He wants them, and opens His arms to each soul.

TrainxEve-Fan In reply to RavinVirus [2010-02-03 03:04:27 +0000 UTC]

Yup. It's easy to get defensive and sarcastic, but it takes real love to be kind to them.

One of my favourite bible verses is from Acts. "And they went away and thanked God that they were worthy of suffering in His name." Thank God when you're persecuted!

I know what you mean about pseudo-Christians of sorts. Everyone I know claims to be Christian, but a lot of people have decided that they're going to lose their virginity in high school, and they frequently use the name of our God in vain. It's like "Seriously? Seriously?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RavinVirus In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-03 03:25:38 +0000 UTC]

True, I pray that I will love them more like my Master, Jesus

Indeed, I believe the purpose of it was to let me see that just because one says they are Christian like you and me, they may not be...in fact, they could be a cult in disguise. The purpose of that I believe is to strengthen my faith, and give me an example in how what I will face in the future...but you know what, I am willing to go through anything for Jesus!

Yes, though, I will say that even Christians will make mistakes like that, that is what makes us human. We are Christians, true children of God...but we are not God...We are not Jesus, therefore, we will never be perfect. Jesus knows that, that is why He died for us! I thank and praise Jesus for doing so! I have vowed since I was very young to keep my virginity until God gave me my match in Heaven and marry (I may be proposed soon), and I will admit, I will say my Lord's name in vain without thinking, but for the longest time, I have avoided doing so and I do get on to people that do say His name in vain. I gave Jesus Christ my soul and life, and I hope to become a pastor to continue pleasing Him...That is all that matters to me, that I please Jesus and I will be by His side for eternity, holing Him close and never let go!

Everytime someone says "Oh My God!" I say "He's my God, too." XD It's fun.

I'm getting a purity ring as soon as I'm confirmed. And hope the proposal goes well!
I'd personally like to be a writer, but I'm keeping my options open so I can do what God wants me to do. I think that writing could be a useful way of spreading the word. Like, every read the Chronicles of Narnia? The entire thing is like...a metaphor for Christianity. XD

RavinVirus In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-03 03:43:43 +0000 UTC]

Oh. xD I just tell the person "Don't say My Lord's Name in vain".

OH, lovely! I wear a small silver medal around my neck all the time that has the descending dove (symbol of the Holy Spirit entering) and on the back it says "Confirmed in Christ". I never had an official confirmation (I want one, though), but I believe I am already confirmed in Jesus, because I recieved Him and I am His!

I love writing too! I feel I am called to being a pastor, because I believe Jesus and God speak through me by the Holy Spirit in my heart. That, and after th worst battle of my war with OCD and depression, I made the realization that maybe that is what Jesus and God want me to do, and I will do it! I have heard of that, and I am in love with Narnia, definately for its meaning. I hope to write my own novel series, it is an allegory o Christian Faith...I want to show how precious it is, yet it is a hard quest, especially in a world of dark reality...Despite all the pains and guilt the main character (Dominique Whitebird) has, it is shown that God and Jesus Christ (The Great Emporer of the North and Spirit Brother) is always there, no matter what, nd is greater than any challenge she and her friends face.

Oh, fabulous! I'd love to read it when it gets published.
My book (at least the one that I'm planning, but that could change)is very fantastical. I'm trying not to make the book so Christian as to alienate other religions, but one of the characters (Aiden Livv) is very religious and end up bring the main characters (Erikka Byrd) to Christ, at least to some extent.

I'm confirmed in Jesus, at this point it's more of a desire to be an official member of the Church so I can have a slight say in how things go. My Church needs all the help we can get, being as my favourite Pastor just left because of hypocritical people and our connection to ECLA, a branch of the Lutheran denomination to which my Church belongs that is doing many, many things most of don't agree with. But, on the other hand, the Confirmation classes and memorization are certainly helping me, even if I despise getting up extra early on Sunday. XD

Keiko does not fail as an artist! Bad Keiko, no saying that!
I actually could tell that was Jesus right away.
Keiko has a very good point though, I'm sure he would be happy for using talents that he gave to you. When you do art like this it really makes me wish I was more religious and went to church... I always have wanted to but my family never has time unfortunantly...

I love the way you did the lightbeams in this though, it reminds me of water paint on a canvas. Pretties kind of paint there... *Looks at people staring at me* Yes, I know I'm weird, MOVE ALONG!

Thanks. I have a picture of Jesus on my wall with a little girl on his shoulders that I drew, my sister said he looked like a girl. And so my Jesus-drawing-SKILLZ have been under question.

It's hard to draw Jesus, you know? Because He's...Jesus. Like...the King of the World, but more awesome, and so you REALLY don't wanna screw up drawing him. XD

Church is good, and if you tell your family you'd like to they might make time. For the longest time I had to get up at like...6 am and then DRAG my parents out of bed...daddy said he was going to have me committed...to an insane asylum. .__.
Otherwise, if you have any churchgoing friends, they might take you. I go to my best friends church every Wednesday and very rarely on Tuesdays (cos I have extra currics that interfer.)

Church is about teaching you abour God, but if all else fails, if you don't read the bible otherwise, try to read ten pages or so on Sunday. It's like...a little compressed Church service. XD

BUT ANYWAY. I'm done preaching now.
...See what I did there? Preaching? Get it? Cos we're talking about God?
THAT WAS A GOOD PUN DANGIT.

duhastblue In reply to TrainxEve-Fan [2010-02-02 01:46:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, when you draw him you're kinda like "This is Jesus I'm drawing, it's gotta look good!"

The thing is my mom gets off work around 3 o'clock at night on Saturday nights (Sunday mornings actually, whatever XD) so she'd be way too exhausted to wake up that early on Sunday, plus Sunday is the only day she actually gets to sleep in and I don't want to take that away from her. My dad is a firefighter so he really doesn't have a set work schedual, he works 24 hours then has 48 hours off (either that or the other way around, too sick to remember right now XD) and sundays are his "leave" days, so he can either have the day off or work over time. If he works over time then he's out of the house by four in the morning and doesn't get back till late, if he takes the day off (which is actually kinda rare) then he's sleeping all day.
I dun wanna take away my parents sleep since they work so hard! O___o

Sadly, I know that we have a bible in my house, but I have no idea where it is... That'll be my project this weekend, go find it in the boxes left over from when we first moved here...
