SHS 486 / JŽ 06 original builder's photo. Scanned at 600 DPI for maximum quality, but converted from .bmp to .jpg for ease of uploading.Locomotive designed and built by Borsig in 1930 as a part of a 3-design standard order of locomotives for the Yugoslavian railways, then Serbian state railways, who ordered 3 designs that share the boiler, tender, cab, etc. This is the mountain passenger variation (although used for both passenger and freight trains) with a 2-8-2 (1'D1') wheel arrangement, designed specifically for use in Slovenia.
