No, the joke is; when Samus and Mega Man defeat enemies, they generally win something from their fallen foes.
Mega Man copies the weapon of the enemy, Samus varies. Sometimes she gets the upgrade right from the monster, sometimes she gets them in a room past the enemy. But basically. They both data copy or steal their enemies abilities.
So they stole their enemies clothes and weapons. XD
