Can you do me a huge favor? How did you complete the CG/3D effect while keeping in 2D. What brushes and settings did you use for this piece. Last favor, the opacity/fill, Layer setting as well as the blending effects? Please and Thx.

Hello,
For this piece, I didn't really use any fun brushes except for the one used to add texture to Arlo (it was a splotchy brush, not sure how to describe it) and I used it with a very low opacity, while keeping the brush very large. Other than that, I just used the airbrush feature for the entire picture in both Painter and Photoshop, bouncing back and forth between the two programs. Most of the main coloring was done in Painter, with each main element in its own layer (Arlo, Spot, the background… each had their own layer). In painter, I only used the airbrush tool & the "just add water" blender. Then in Photoshop, I used the airbrush to soften some blends/ add more color/ paint particular details, and also to add in the fun glowing effects (still using airbrush, in various sizes/ opacities, on their own separate layers- which were set to "screen"). Also added some highlights on "normal" layers as well.
Hopefully that kinda made sense. lol.
Overall, I think the main thing is to just start with the simple shapes/ colors and keep building + adding more and more detail as you go.
