These heels were killing Reed. If he'd known that when Vanessa said "secretary," she really meant like, the whole stereotypical package, he never would have agreed. He supposed he could quit, but after so long looking for work, he finally had something that was paying him well and, aside from the wardrobe and all the other girly stuff he had to deal with, it was the easiest job he'd ever had. Could he really give all of that up? At some point he'd be promoted out of the secretary pool and could go back to being his normal self.

"This is what you signed up for, bro," his sister, Laura, told him when he would come home from work and complain about how much his feet hurt or how much he hated the ogling eyes of his male coworkers.

"The worst part is, I can't do anything about it. The women all have to wear a very specific dress code and there's no way around it," Reed sighed.

Laura just smiled. Reed had asked for this with his stupid plan. Taking advantage of marginalized people for his own benefit? And now he was reaping the rewards. She wondered how long he would put up with it. A month of skirts and heels every day hadn't broken him yet. Laura was actually kind of impressed. It made her wonder how far she could make her brother go before he would crack and come clean.

"I just need a nice, relaxing weekend," Reed said. "Get out of these heels for a weekend and just...clear my head and get back to feeling like myself."

"Oh! That reminds me," Laura said, struggling not grin. "I think I have just the thing. It always relaxes me when I've been having a tough time at work."

Reed looked at her skeptically. "What kind of thing? Some girly thing?"

Laura rolled her eyes. "Come on, Renee. Just give it a try. I promise it will make you feel better about everything."

"Don't call me Renee. That's just the fake name I'm using at work."

Laura rolled her eyes again. "You need to get used to hearing it so you don't mess up at work. Plus, you haven't exactly been acting like much of a guy outside of work either. When was the last time you even wore jeans?"

Reed opened his mouth to say something, but stopped. When was the last time he'd worn pants? That day he first went to the interview? And even then, those hadn't been very masculine pants.

Laura grinned. "So come on, RENEE. I promise you won't be disappointed. We'll go tomorrow morning."

Reed shrugged. "Sure, I guess. But, it better not be too girly, Laura."

"I guarantee we'll have a great time." Laura smiled. "Sis."
