Description
We must say goodbye to 2007 in a few days.A little fantasy pic of the year 2007 (as represented by a fancifully dressed Kimono girl) all grown up and such.
I'll be posting the follow up pic of Baby New Year 2008 on new years Eve.
I used the patterns of
Kanji reads: Ganjitsu. It's Japanese for New Years

Goodness, what I wouldn't do for one of those!
Beautiful job, and the patterns just make it pop so wonderfully.

Thanks.
I have a few Kimono (and a Yukata), but they don't fit me. Japanese people are so tiny!

Hiragana's reading as "gan-itsu", not "gen-itsu". I thought it was "gan-jitsu" for "New Year's Day" (well, one of the variations).

EDIT: Fixed. It's Ganjitsu, I just spelled it wrong in the Description.

You'll have to change the hiragana in the pic later as well.

Really?
I wonder if that chart I had was wrong. I tried to match the caraciturs(sp?) with the syllable.
Here's the one I used:

Ga-n-i-tsu

Chart's not wrong. If the pic says "ga-n-i-tsu", then why does your description says "ga-n-ji-tsu"? "Gan-jitsu" is the correct hiragana to say "New Year's Day". I can't find "gan-itsu" in my dictionaries.

Did I write it wrong in the description or is it wrong in the pic?
