That's another reason why I think Obama needs to win; from what we can tell, the world for the most part is rooting for him. Everyone seems to be following this election. I can't speak for all of my fellow countrymen but I think many people would agree we need to improve our national image. Obama is the first step. Leaving Iraq is the second.

Agreed. The main reason why the world is so interested in this election is that America is a really powerfull country, and the choice of it's citizens on who is going to lead it will have a great impact, not only on the nation but for the whole world as well.
I think that most people in Europe do like Obama, mainly because of his visits in some of the European countries. This shows that he seems to be really interested in how the other countries are doing: it is a very usefull thing to know the nations, that one may have to cooperate with in the future as a president.
I also agree with you that Obama will deffinatelly improve the image of America, mainly by repairing the mistakes made by Bush.
When the voting day comes I'll try to keep my fingers crossed, and pray for Obama's victory. ^_^

I am so disturbed by how conservative TF fandom is. I really don't get it, but this is the most conservative fandom I've ever seen. And why? Is it the Bay influence? Cars? Big oil? Free market? Pro-military?

It doesn't really bother me except when people try to shove their idiology in my face and then call me anti-American for not agreeing with them. I don't need no damn stickers or lapel pins to prove I'm an American. I vote therefore I am. (well...I will vote. This'll be my first election.)

I'd say it wouldn't, but the fact is that most fandoms are overwhelmingly liberal, so the fact that this one is so conservative just confuses me. What's the factor that makes one fandom conservative and one less so? Cars? Babes? Ideologies? The Americentric-ness of the franchise? I think it must be the latter. I admit this has always intrigued me and I've exploited the hell out of it, but I've never considered Americentric-ness a *good* thing. A lot of conservatives obviously do.
After all, Barack Obama is a terrorist socialist who is anti-America.

I whole heartedly agree on the Americentric-ness. Despite what many think, we're not the center and/or rulers of the universe. And really I'm tired of people proclaiming we're the greatest country on earth when the vast majority of them have never left the country. Xenophobia is rampant here, which baffles me as we're America! Dammit we're supposed to be a melting po of the world. Not a paraoid, rascist super power who doesn't know how to play nice with others. *grrr*

You should definatly stick with IDW. They're doing a good job of handling the TF liscence. More then DW in my opinion.

Yeah, they've already come out with part four, Revalation. But its broke down into spotlights. And there is also the 'All Hail Megatron' serise which th 4th issue just came out.

Actually, all the serise I mentioned are connected to the "-tion" serise. So when Verity and Jimmy finally show up there's probably gonna be a lot of stuff you missed. (Hunter is Sunstreaker's headmaster partner, but their partnership hasn't been explained/introduced to the Autobots as far we're aware).
