This is really well done. Glad to see someone working with Breakdown, and I really love how ambiguous the end is. Could go in a nice, dark direction down either path: Breakdown being crazy or Breakdown seeing real Quints and not even believing himself. Or a combination of the two!

This piece is the second of a Quintesson-themed trilogy (the first one being this: [link] ).
The third will be an attempt to mix Quintessons and one of the most recent Tf incarnation (in a funny way).

Nice, neat artwork here, and the panel layout is pretty creative. Interesting little story too... I don;t think I've seen anyone pay attention to Breakdown before. But that's the beauty of the Mosaic Project!

I wanted to set the action in San Francisco as a tribute to the branch of my family that has been living there for three generations ^^

This version of Breakdown is a free redesign of the original; Iohannes tried to use structural elements from the toy and the cartoon, adding an "Alternators"-esque style.
That's why he has a visor (like the toy) or a partially different transformation ^^
I agree about the lettering size; next time I'll apply a bigger one.

One minor comment, I think your toy reference for Breakdown may have been mistransformed, because his car rear folds down the sides to become the lower legs, putting the wheels on the inside of his legs: [link]
