Am I the only one who thinks she looks a tad bit like a Vocaloid? I don't know where the character is from or who she is originally, but I think she looks a bit like Luka.

I don't see the resemblance. Besides, I think what you meant to say was that Luka looks like her considering that Luka was just released this year, while this image has been posted here since 2005.

I have a question for you.
I was wondering if I could use this picture for a cardgame, but specifically for a card fanset I'm making therein.
I'm making a DoA set in a game called "UFS" or "Universal Fighting System", using characters from games like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, Darkstalkers, etc.
Would you mind if I used your Ayane art for my DoA cards?

That's very nice work. My only comment would be that her legs seem slightly too short, but I think that's probably the pose and the way it lowers her hand level.

Lovely! The colouring gives it a more painterly style instead of the clean gloss of your original but I think it works well for the pic.
