Art blocks really do kill.I seriously tried to make a love Valentines Day pic. But whatever I drew was so shitty and the anatomy is wrong. So I was like "Screw it! I'm taking a break from art!" And I had this lying around in my sketchbook so I enhanced it (took like an 1 hour when normally it takes 5-10 min to draw stuff like this) And since I have no ideas....I drew Luis for the 1 millionth time!
I think drawing too much deer is killing me. But I don't even have the will to draw other things.
I'm too afraid to get out of my comfort zone of art.Well I don't know when I'll be drawing again. I feel completely devoid of any creativity lately. I think I'm losing it.
I don't want any critique on this. Any I receive I'll hide.

I know what you mean with the "comfort zone" thing, I have that problem too. But this picture looks gorgeous, especially his eye, so much life in him.

Same here, I can currently only draw Transformers o-O it's fun, but a bit irritating when I wanna draw something else and I can't.

Forgive me for the late response but yeah I know how that is. I should really try this summer on different thing and right now I am on a Pokemon craze so I think Pokemon are gonna take over my gallery

You keep improving, it's amazing! Yeah, art block is terrible. What I do is I do drawing memes to help me get back on my feet. It might work for you too. ^^

I can see you shading around the shapes of his body now, very nice. Why not give figure drawing a go for a while? It'll help you improve and you'll feel much better.

Yeah I guess I can draw live nude people though I have no idea where to get them. Maybe uni would have them. In the meantime maybe I can draw from books and figures I have in my dorm.

DO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! If there's one thing every artist should know how to do, it's drawing the human body. Well, at least attempt to, plus you can incorporate that knowledge into drawing animal anatomy so it's a win win situation lol. There's many online sites that offer free model pictures, or I could always compress my model references and send them to you?

Yeah...I should learn to draw humans more. I know I can't be drawing only animals forever, esp if I would like to work for Disney someday. And I should also draw other animals more than just deer. I may be considered a deer artist but I'd like to learn to draw other kinds of animals-wolves, dogs, lions, cats, birds, dragons, horses, unicorns, gryphons, an other fantasy animals.

Not on the movies, but back then it wouldn't be surprising if they drew Bambi getting raped to death or Alice being choked by the Hatter. It's common at animation studios to draw a bunch of random shit to blow off steam from working so much on the same thing over and over again. There's the infamous Rugrats storyboard page floating around the internet that's a fine example of it. Of course they never show it on the actual production, but it happens

Ah I see...caffeine for the animator's mind I presume XD Well it's considered harmless doodles as long it's behind closed doors. I gotta find that Rugrats storyboard. I loved that show alot as a child. Shame it's no longer on TV. Thank you Youtube.
Yeah...the only films with animals that show animal genitalia is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmeron, Watership Down, The Plague Dogs, and Felidae. They only kept the sheathes on the male animals especially on Spirit when it came to the stallions. The others are some not every well know animated films from England and Germany, though they are very good.
But yeah...I might have to "neuter" male characters in business O.O

Ya, it's very funny to look at. Makes you wonder if deep down inside they're crazy as hell, but it's understandable if you draw that stuff thousands of times every damn day.
Lol, unless you're working on an adult furry production, your characters will not include dat genitalia.
