Description
This one is the "Blinding Edge" Alien.Some people in the class couldn't decipher what this one was supposed to be. People always depict the alien curling around the other way, I thought it would be interesting to try it this way.
Edit: Funny thing is, when I did this for my class they told me this was the least successful one, and yet, it's the one that gets the most attention, and I find sometimes around the internet. So, take that Computer Illustration Class!

for sure. i love the alien series, my aunt used to sit me on her lap when i was little and make me watch it. hated it. but then i warmed to it. lol

I actually did those Aliens around the time I was getting into Giger's work, a little before becoming a real Alien fan.

She was kinda out of it for the most part. But still an awesome woman.
Giger is amazing. I was quite happy to see in the AVP movies that they went back to his origional design of the critters.

They did kinda for AVP it was more a black Resurrection Alien, in AVPR They went with the Aliens model. They've never really gone all the way back to the original design 100%. It's kind of a testament to how well it was designed, how you can modify it and modify it, and you can still tell what it is.

This is true. I've heard over the forums all over the place, the possibility of a fifth Alien movie, they ended up getting a franchise for 5 movies. Only thing is how well the AVP movies goes decides when they can make another. But back on point, lost track there, I've also read they may try and go back to the original. But... Never know. One can only hope.

I would like to see a AVP with the Ripley clone fighting Aliens and Predators on earth. The thing I found so wonderfully ironic about AVP was that Ripley fought and died and was reborn trying to keep these things off of earth only to have them been there the whole time!

It was just the first thing that came to mind. Like he was running from Predators and the only was to escape was make a Leap of Faith off a cliff.
