this whole series is just adorable
i think i like this one the most because of the pink bubbles, they really add something to the color scheme

Why thank you! It's an unusually symbolic picture for me, usually my pictures have an overall ideal, but this one is full of things that are meaningful to me.
Well I wanted bubbles and I wanted to have the ribbon, so blending the two made sense. :>

just find colours that tend to go together and then keep a palette of them and only use those colours, it makes you more creative with your colours with how you use them.

yeah, true. but it doesn't feel like im learnin' quick enough. i see so many great artist here on DA, like yourself, and i think, 'why do i bother?'. i see tones of artist the same age as me doin' better. it upsets me.

I was like that when I first started out, but seeing other great artwork makes you strive to be as good as that and you pick up different styles and tips around the site, it's how I got to where I am now, but I'm always trying new things.

yeah, ive learnt alot since ive been on here. much more then art college. they teach you nothin'. they just say draw this draw that. i didn't start drawin anime until about 1-2 years ago. i used to be into fineart and drew alot of animals. i could never draw the human body. i teach myself new stuff.if it weren't for college and the useless work they give me, i would be a better artist

Thanks, it was one of the better ideas that I had at teh time, the original idea was just the octopus blowing pink bubbles, but then i thought why dont I put the dinosaur in tehre as well and make the bubbles like the ribbon!
