So, for the second time today, I found myself at hospital. This time, for a dislocated left shoulder. Due to my Ehlers Danlos Syndrom, which is a connective tissue disorder (Lack of Colligen in joints and heart) and some unfriendly guy punching my in the arm
Nitros Oxide, Fenatl, and athestetic later, I came home with a niftey CD of the before and after x-rays. Of course I don't have a programme which runs the file it was in, so good ole print screen in Bridge will do the trick!
So I apologise for the crappy quality.
Obviously, but for the dense few, the left is the disloacted before shot. Right, is the relocated after shot.

As a fellow EDS'er, I can really appreciate this.
When I was younger my shoulders were out of place more often than in.
I would just pop them back and move on.
My mom used to have to tie my arms down when I went to bed because by the morning both of my shoulders would be out of their socket.
It's not so bad now.(:

I have Classic type as far as we know. I have to be officially tested by a geneticist and all that fun stuff

I have classical and VEDS.
And no, I know of two girls in Australia with it also.

Ah. I'm sorry. I have classical and have not been tested for vascular. I do know a lot of people with EDS actually. I recently went out of my way to try and find people here on DA and I've found a couple but a friend of mine created a group on facebook that I'm an admin of, called Ehlers-Danlos-Zebras need zebras (zebra is the official EDS mascot if you didn't know)and through that I have met people from all over the world. I've found that living with this is so much easier when you have support from people who understand what you're going through.

omg. i look at this image everytime i visit ur page but i never clicked on it till just now. and wow. that looks painful as hell. and i can see ur lung and the little pathways and canals in it. that part is awesome. the dislocation isnt. but still a great even if painful

Well...al is fine with my pituitary gland is ok....
i had also numerous of tests and nowbody knows why my thyroid gland is smaller and smaller,

I have a cd like this for my dislocated elbow, with the special software. Never thought to just take a screenshot.
My one elbow was bad enough. I can't imagine doing it frequently.

I have Type II and III, which is cronic every day spontaneious dislocations, easy tearable organs and skin, and horribly double jointed, with vascular issues of VEDS

So, what exactly is the outcome when you lack collagen in your joints? I'm assuming that makes everything more painful, like walking and getting punched... ouch. What kind of problems can that cause for your heart?

It causes your joints to dislocate frequently and be horribly double jointed to the point you fall over because your ankels roll so much.
And it makes your heart vaulves weaker and easy to rupture. Anywhere you have connective tissue can tear.

Ow! Connective tissue disorders suck, one of my friends gets a dislocated patella all the time >.<
Still I think it's cool they gave you the x-ray pics

I've had my patella's surgically pinned as to prevent that, and tendon tightenings at other joints to prevent those, but it doesn't last long before they are just dislocating all over the place again.
And yeah it was cool of them! I was impressed
