Bio
Slate was born to a street pony who didn't want a child and she didn't even know she was pregnant so when Slate was born her mother immediately shipped her off to an orphanage. Due to her mothers abuse of smoking, drinking and drugs she was born a month early with the birth defects of being exceptionally smaller, having weaker lungs and being blind. She was on oxygen for a while until she could safely breath on her own. Even the doctors say it's a miracle Slate even survived. Her time in the orphanage was long as no one wanted a tiny blind child with dyspraxia, allergies and asthma. She never learned to read or write as she found it pointless to learn without being able to see. Some are shocked she can actually talk, though not much. Slate saw all the few friends she made come and go, never coming back as they found their forever families. When she became old enough to where the orphanage couldn't keep her anymore Slate was moved to a home for disabled ponies where she now resides permanently. Now older she wants to learn the skills she doesn't have but doesn't want to bother troubling anyone to teach her because it would be difficult. She takes allergy medication and plenty of vitamins as her body is weaker and more prone to illness. Slate keeps her inhaler with her at all times and she can only see blurs of her surroundings and ponies. She is also sometimes seen in a wheelchair
