That's a very interesting.. I guess it'd be an exosuit? My senior English project is going to be a sci-fi story so I've been browsing through art and stuff for random future-tech ideas.. I imagine this isn't used much for combat scenarios do to the exposed pilot? Is it more for mining, especially with the (awesome-looking) molten fingers?
And you know, that purple color scheme actually works really awesomely >>

The suit has molten fingers in order to bend/fabricate steel. Other uses include mining, sculpting and branding. Its a blacksmiths/ engineer's dream suit. Although if used in combat additional plating can be added. It's more or lass the skeletal base for any custom parts.

I figured it was something like that requiring some rather precise action with the molten fingers. It's a fantastic idea actually. Very cool design you've come up with, definitely~ keep up the awesome work

Okay good, I really do hope you get it. And it wasn't mandatory, no, but you could've gotten your portfolio reviewed and stuff by me and the other students, as well as ask questions and blah blah blah. Really if your life drawing is anything like your painting you should be good.... Just pour over the gradshow website and make sure all your bases are covered. Being life drawing, animals, cafes sketches, backgrounds, cars maybe, etc. If you want I could take a peek at your portfolio. The portfolio I used is here [link] if you want some reference on how to structure it....
(sorry for rant, I just like your painting and animation, I want you to get in, but talented artists have not before simply because of missing something out or a technicality....)

I may be mistaken but I do believe Cyberpunk is more dystopian future future. Correct? How ever I was trying to aim for an advanced but trashy steam punk... With a little touch of Dieselpunk. However everything is relative and it is true that I was playing Deus Ex while I drawing so I would be surprised if my sub conscious add something here and there.

I'm not entirely certain. Just thought it looked way more refined than what most steampunk things I've seen. Don't get me wrong though. I love the design. It's very well drawn. If I saw something like THIS in Deus Ex, that would totally rock. It'd be a challenge fighting this guy.
