Blindfold. It's been done before. I remember in Pet Shop of Horrors manga, one customer was given a Medusa clone and was told he could do whatever he wanted with her, usual upkeep but never ever take off the blindfold. They loved each other very much. He sank into despair after being turned down a big job so he willingly committed suicide by looking into her eyes. Unable to cope with her loss she looks into a mirror to end her own life.
