Reminds me of when I left the DM gaping: big fight of about ten (including myself) in a confined area and all the badguys missed me at the same time on round one. When the party all crawled into the room with me the DM told us: "There is a large knife fight in a phone box." Even the wizard crawled in for the hell of it and started stabbing, DM could not figure out how we all survived without a scratch, kill of the year went to our Cleric, she killed one by crawling under him and nailed him between the legs with her mace. (too small a place for all of us to stand, we were almost always crawling)

+6 is artifact level and the max in my games. I have always hated above 6 modifiers.

In original AD&D +5 was the best Modifier an Item could possibly have if I remember correct. In the End in my latest RPG Group we had a System without any of those Limits and a Discussion like above would have been theoretically possible.Β
