Spotted this man outside Whelans pub in Dublin, at about 2:AM.Nikon EM.

Sunglasses at night...
The other night I was walking down a badly lit street at night in a sketchy part of town.
I saw a guy wearing shades sitting all alone next to a neon sign of a model (an adobe version of the motels that are on route 66). There are about 5 of them one after another. Hmm... Photo idea. Anyway...
He scared the shit out of me when he suddenly he barked out a few words at me.
I walked on - wondering what he said. A second or two later I realized he hadn't spoken to me in English. He had said "buenos noches" in his drunk slur.

Seriously this was shot when I was making my way to a pub, and these guys were standing in the side alley beside Whelans pub. Because of the smoking ban people stand outside having a fag, but the sunglasses at night guy is just static with his hands in his pocket.

For moment I've given up on street photography - since I have a lot to learn anyway, the only camera I have is a nikon d70s (which is pretty hard to hide - the brick that it is) and Spanish speakers (and others too) might not like to have their picture taken my a male Anglo.
A girl passed by me in a drugstore the other day with a tattoo on her chest - something written in cursive. I had my backpack with me with my camera inside - but I thought the better of talking to her and saying "Can I take your picture?"
Maybe that "Press ID" idea I had for Tokyo might be a good idea here to make and carry around too. If I had it and I did make a comment that I immediately regretted - it might save me from getting pulverized and my camera getting turned into scrap.

I have no idea what is going on here, it was shot between bars on pub crawl. I can only guess it was a fancy dress or somthing at that bar. The guy in the blonde wig is smoking, it's ilegal to do so in pubs here now. So you see people outside having a smoke, but the invisible man is just standing there with his hands in his pockets.

He seems kind of creepy. Like he's just waiting for an easy victim. He's even wearing his shades at night. This is quite an interesting picture.
The exposure in this is also really good. It's not too grainy. Good job!

I had this film lying around for weeks I had forgotten I even saw it, when I developed it I was really surprised.
1. By what the hell are they doing.
2. By how the image turned out at all considering how drunk I was.
