Description
So much hype about Pokemon X and Y. I can't even describe it!!"Newtwo" (credit to spade) officially announced and had to draw him.
For those of you who don't know what I'm on about, [link] here you go.
I really can't wait to see what gets released next, although I do wish that this guy was like Mewtwo in the first series in the fact you had no idea where Mewtwo was, the games should go back to having starters on the front and leave the legendaries out of the equation, it'd make for a much more exciting adventure.
Seems like Majin Buu went and absorbed Mewtwo or something, either was it's pretty badace!!

Hah! Sorry, but the thought of Mewtwo having a counterpart like that is impossible, Mewtwo has no gender. I don't mean to be rude with the "Hah!" it's just something I had to get out. Good thing for you though, because he has two Mega forms.

yeah Mewtwo has no gender but doesn't change the fact that looks like a female version of it, i stay with the original anyway......most megas look just......meh....

Yea, it reminds me so much of Buu with that long thing on its head... and all the pink/purple...
I think this new pokemon is very nice, I like it I like this one much more than that Sylveon -_-

Yeah Sylveon seemed really gimmicky to me and was just an excuse to put out an eeveelution, they could have done so much more with a different typing.

Yea, I agree... I think it's a normal type definitely, but I wish they had made a ground type or steel type, maybe a rock type...

It looks like MewTwo got jiggy with a Primape or something...and then the baby somehow got its tail pushed onto its head.
I honestly don't know how to feel about this generation anymore.

Well the starters offer promise, I like this guy because he reminds me of majin buu haha. Why do you have mixed emotions?

embercoral In reply to TrebleEXE [2013-04-08 11:47:32 +0000 UTC]
Well...the starters don't seem all that original to me. We've already had fire foxes and water frogs, and the gopher looks a lot like Oshawatt's first evolved form, but with grass. Sylveon seems like a cheap gimmick to attract more female players, which is pointless, and if they really wanted to make a new Mew-oriented character, they shouldn't have waited so long!
I mean, with some of the Gen IV stuff, like Lickylicky and Rhyperior, we're talking a three-generation-long gap between the original forms and the new stuff (was it really worth it?). Here, it's freaking FIVE GENS LONG. After Gen III, I think they should've just left Gen I stuff alone!
The only PokΓ©mon of Gen VI that I don't have problems with are the two mascots, Xerneas and Yvertal. The possibility that they might be centered around Norse mythology seems epic.

TrebleEXE In reply to embercoral [2013-04-09 01:23:49 +0000 UTC]
I'll agree for the most part, but I think that the starters, while still un-evolved, are bland and lackluster but have promise in further evolutions, it's hard to find an animal that hasn't been used.
In terms of meta-game, the first gen needs a massive power boost, why has it taken this long?? I don't know and I can't answer that but it certainly does have a disadvantage when put up against a gen V Pokemon. All that being said there are some really strong gen I Pokemon but there are some that don't feel complete.
I'll also agree that the reasoning behind a new Mew character seems to be calling on old cards and should have happened a long time ago, but if nothing was released about it and the player was left to discover it with in game hints much like Mewtwo in Gen I, it would have been a nostalgia trip and less of a gimmick. All that aside I still like him, he has a good design and feels like a Pokemon, there were a lot of Gen V guys that didn't give that feel at all.

What about a platypus for water, a bull (like an actual bull, not a buffalo or bison) for fire, and a cheetah for grass? I can see some potential in that.
I thought of a theory that just might work without it being painfully obvious:
Some scientist got ahold of a weak Mankey and started a gene-splicing project, giving it injections of Mew's DNA. Over time, the Mankey began to mutate into a Mewish-looking creature, but the transformation was not absolutely perfect. Due to the nature of the gene splicing, the Mankey's original tail disappeared, and a new tail formed on its head. Although it was proclaimed as Psychic, it continued to possess its fighting spirit from when it was still a Mankey, despite forgetting who it previously was. Unlike MewTwo, who destroyed his creators the first chance he got, this "Mewtant" refused to part from the lab straight away, adopting to their corrupted ways of thinking and enjoying every moment of being "the greatest human achievement".
I got the idea from looking at pics of various test animals. Plus, the limbs of this thing kinda look like monkey hands and feet.

A lion starter needs to happen and a wolf. Sharpedo needs to be completed (WHY IS HE HALF A SHARK?)
as to your theory could work as an underlying story, pretty interesting with the whole Mankey side of things.

Yes, but I fear that the painfully obvious will be revealed to us, anyways...

Fennekin is a fox, it's based off of the real life sub-species of fox, called Fennec.

Nobody knows where or how you can face the new Mon yet, much like any of the lesser legendaries in previous generations ... you more or less just run across them while exploring an area.

TrebleEXE In reply to Stratadrake [2013-04-07 14:50:33 +0000 UTC]
yeah but in regards to Mewtwo there wasn't much in the way of information about his existence. I guess the expansion of the internet has caused such things to no longer remain hidden. Mewtwo was simply there, if you found him you found him, if you didn't, you didn't and would never know that he existed, that's at least my childhood recollection of it hahaha, but yes, you are right, we don't know just yet!!

Yeah, in-game there were only the diaries in the burned-down Pokemon Mansion. And the Internet then wasn't what it is now.

And yet it can be Mewthree. I mean... Mewtwo is not Mew evolution in the first place. They're related but different pokemons.

"Mewthree" was just an example. The real thing is: it can be related to Mew and Mewtwo and yet be a new species of pokemon.
