Description '68 plymouth fury, '65 ford step van

i found this today in the archives of my old computer. i'm not sure if i took the photo myself since i don't recognize the file name. i was at this car show in 2004 with a camera in hand, but the credit for this may go to carl c.? in any case it's too good a pic not to share.

if anyone wants to call the cops on me, i guess go ahead.

I remember seeing vehicles like this around the Police Museum. I love those classic Fury police cars in that classic NYPD paint scheme.

Every time I see this paint scheme I can't help but think, 'Car 54, Where Are You?'

car 54 was actually red in real life. the show's producers didn't want it mistaken for a real police car. on b&w tv it looks normal, you'd never know it's red.

Nice shot. Car's a '68 Plymouth. '65's had different sheet metal and didn't have the side marker lights (those little circles on the lower fenders).
