practice. pen is really easy, but people think it's intimidating because of lack of eraser. but (as i mentioned above) pens can smell your fear.

How the HELL do you do those highlights with only a ballpoint pen? I've seen people try to do better in Photoshop and fail. A great, resounding HUZZAH for traditional medias!

honestly, it's a lot easier to use pen to do the shiny-ness than it is to use pencil. you get finer lines.
