Comic about the day I finished my dissertation. The best thing is that I got it submitted on Friday although the deadline was on Monday, so it was the best weekend ever.
Just went straight at this with ink without sketching, saves a lot of time.
This is how hardcore people celebrate. Guess what, three days later I baked another cake! And a couple of days after that I made icecream and blueberry pie. NEVERENDING CAKE!

Don't put that much stress and emotions in things like that. It's just bad for the health and not productive anyway.
And that all reminded me of most of the colleagues and how they freaked out during exams. Funny how youngsters take these as life-defining moments. Not necessarily a bad thing, of course, but there're far more serious things out there...

I have to mention that I only felt the stress really palpably in that last morning, and the day before, otherwise I felt rather okay about the dissertation as a whole. But yeah, it still wasn't fun, I wonder how the people who go through that kind of feeling for weeks at a time manage.
I very much agree that one shouldn't put too much negative stress into things, because in the end many things do not really matter that much, do they? I think that close to a deadline there's this really worked up atmosphere at uni with everyone getting worked up and amplifying each other's stress as well.
Ah, now there's just the degree show to worry about, I'm trying to take it easy. I enjoy many things in life in general so it's not usually a problem for me to allocate time for fun stuff.
