I am experimenting on different brushes on Photoshop and these Orcas were the the best test for it I must say. It's a momma Orca and her baby that just jumped for the first time. I need to work on my realism. LOL they are too cartoony but I enjoyed drawing this and I am happy the way it turned out.

Great take on anatomy, pose, and expressions. And the water has a nice, soft look to it that makes the moment immediately after their jump look gentle.

man seems like everyone I know is having issues with their scanner. XD I need to start painting more Dolphins and Orcas on canvas. I have one called purple Haven that I need to upgrade in the bathroom. =B
oh man same here with the traditional vs Digital! I'm trying to work more on my digital. and then soon hope to start painting again on canvas, I have four other paintings waiting in line for me to paint them. LOL

^^ cartoony is my style I guess...for now Muahaha! I will be trying to make realistic animals more in photoshop.
that's becasue they were sketches. XD maybe I should think about working on my shading skills with pencil. Hmmm

Gah! what do you mean? Haha the noses on these look so wrong! I seem to have a hard time with the noses and the neck/chin. =/

same here. I think we both need to find a style that works for us. I'm still looking for my style. at times I will go back and forth from styles.

I could probably do fine if I tried a cartoony style, but I'd prefer using a realistic style D= Its just so hard to get right.
